A nice welcome home gift

Jeez! I was away for a few months and finally return to this---okay guys, I know what you're thinking:

"Hey professor, just go away!"

Seriously, the thanks really beongs to the hearty souls who have stayed with the forum and demonstrated to Andreas that we're dedicated to TBCB.

Hopefully when the new game comes out it'll give Inside the Ropes a bit of an activity jolt. A few threads aside, it's been pretty dead lately.

35 days and counting since the original post on the news. Another OOTP 11 patch due out in August. Then work will start on OOTP 12 if it already hasn't. The wait continues. Im just sayin. Any chance of some sort of update? Somethin? Some kind of info on the plans? Somethin?

Paul will starts his work with converting the whole TBCB code to the PISD library which we're using for OOTP. The advantage is that we'll support Mac and Linux then. And the interface will be improved of course. All this initial work will need some time. So please, be patient.
Thanks!

And after Paul finish you will create the design team??

Do you have plan to release 2.5 for mac (ipad???) until v3 is out?

Thanks Andreas as always

The PISD layers support a number of platforms, so once the game is ported over we can choose which will we release on. The biggest problem is the different screen sizes which requires each page in the game to be laid out differently. For example, what works well on a PC would not fit on an iPhone and still allow you to press the buttons with your finger. So we need to look at the work needed to change the pages before we can say which platforms will be used. Throughout development I will be keeping an eye on this area as Andreas and I would love to release the game on as many devices as possible.

As Andreas said above, we are in the early stages of this project, we will know more once we have the game up and working on the PISD layers.

If you want to read about the layers you can here: P.I.S.D. Ltd - PISD Development Libraries

If the new game has the look and feel of OOTP that would be fantastic.
