The Stanley Cup runners-up from the past two years, the New York Islanders, is looking to make another run for that elusive Stanley Cup. They will be the 1-seed in the East, and will face the two-time Stanley Cup winning Carolina Hurricanes. Last year's Stanley Cup champions, the Anaheim Ducks, will be the 2-seed in the West, and they will face the Calgary Flames in the first round.

The Montreal Canadiens are making their return to the playoffs after a 7-year absence. They will face their in-country rival Ottawa Senators in the first round.

I always do a NHL theme with my franchises as well. Loved taking the fictional St. Louis Blues to 5 championships in 6 years. Actually, for my OOTPX template I'm setting up in OOTP9, I have an entire "world of hockey" theme going, modified to suit my tastes (ex. 16 team NHL divided into two 8 team leagues, one in America and one in Canada)

On the left-hand side of the page under "albums", you'll see hockey logos-nhl. For the large poster-like logos, I just do a google search and some pretty cool stuff comes up.

I'm about to post the 1915 Final Standings. The New York Islanders (the Buffalo Bills of hockey) will be the top seed in the East again, so we'll see how they do. Last year they were upset by the 8-seed Carolina Hurricanes in the 1st round.

Also, the amazing Anaheim Ducks, who had won 3 of the past 4 Stanley Cups, had a horrible year at 72-90, and finished in 14th place in the West.

Loved taking the fictional St. Louis Blues to 5 championships in 6 years.
