Disclaimer
After seeing the sniping in another thread, I feel it's my duty to:
A) Affirm that OOTP is the best baseball sim I've ever played, and I've been playing them since 1986 B) Expressly state that the OOTP staff have been sincerely trying to help determine the cause of the crashes C) Remind the snipers that I have played OOTP since 2004 and it has always worked, and that during those years when I never had crashes not once did I come on these forums to complain about others who were posting problems. In fact, I noted how there was an open discussion of these problems and a general willingness (among most) of the community to offer constructive advice. This, contrary to what others seem to think, only increased the chances of my continuing to purchase the game. I hope that helps. I encourage people thinking about buying the game to purchase it. The vast majority of users have no problems. The minority of us who do are just trying to help iron out whatever glitches there are.

Might it have been related to the kind of copy protection scheme that game was using? I seem to recall a lot of folks having grief because of it.
