Thank you
Thank you everyone who helped update the csv stat files. It was awesome to watch this community chip in and get all this work done so quickly. It was very much appreciated. From your work today we were able to generate 1000's of more lines of statistics.

Ok time for an update from the key master, just so everyone knows where things are at, at this point. I have received a great deal of data from the many individuals that are assisting with this project.
I will put thanks out there to jackflash, neojonas7 and goldengloves, now there are many others that are contributing but these are the three that are dealing directly with me the most and I know that they have farmed out work to others as well. I at the point where I need to take all the new data and put it together and make things look nice and pretty and figure out what is still missing from the file. Hopefully I will have some time to do so the next few days but tomorrow I have a networking event that I will be attending because my paying job is more important than this(sorry folks) and Friday is my birthday so I haven't decided what I plan to do on that day. I also want to thank Mr. Strickert for the Neyer/James book that I received in the mail today I will be using that as I clean up the file after releasing the first version. That was very generous of you to send me that copy of the book. Folks just so you all know, I have never asked for money for any set that I have done from those that play with it and don't intend to start, (I may talk to the creators at some point, thus being able to dedicate more time to it) but things like the book that Paul sent me are very kind and appreciated. In all honesty the things that would be the best are things like that, I have been trying to get a subscription to the online Baseball America but that didn't come to fruition . So in summation things are getting closer, and I will continue to update this as will the three gentlemen that I mentioned above. I do not want to see any more rogue threads started on this subject, and leave APujols5 alone, I don't want see anymore negative remarks that will start incendiary threads, outside of a few people everyone on this board is looking to help out others(AP included), so just stop the negativity because it doesn't help anyone.

I just deleted all the nonsense that was starting after Erich's post. Let's start over. "Gee thanks!" posts are welcome.

Guys, I'd like to offer my thanks as well. I have been in the roster set business before (and trust me, if I wasn't pulling an Ivy League course load here at Cornell, I'd have offered to help long ago) and I know how tough it can be to create the "perfect" set.
There ARE lurkers like me who are patiently waiting, without posting and getting caught up in the hullaballo that has surrounded the sets this year. We appreciate your work. |

I wanted to agree about the lurker comment. Alot of us are patiently waiting and appreciate your work. Some of us, like myself, would have no idea how to do a massive project like this and will wait for it.

For those working on college spreadsheets. If you want to PM what yu are working on and have finished, I'll put together a master list so that people don't duplicate work.
So far, I've done WCC Pacific 10 (in progress) |
