Sorry to respond so late, but I was at a PromiseKeepers convention learning about the primacy of man... |

I don't think it gets the credit it deserves but the FOLB (Forever Online League Baseball) is one of the best in the business. My Dallas Kingmans (named after the greatest hitter of his era) has finished second for the last two years but look to make a run this season!

Not that I have much experience with these things, afterall this is my first ever online league, but I give top marks to the LBA ( http://www.laseron.org/ ). The other GMs have been great to me, fun to talk to and very helpful as I tried to learn my responsibilities and such. The commish though puts in so much time I have been blown away. Just as an example, he goes to the trouble of hand-editing every player!
Anyway I know others have pointed the league out but I just wanted to confirm what some of the others said here. So far I am having a blast and this is coming from a guy who swore he would NEVER play in an online league. It has been the perfect blend of fun and seriousness. However unless you enjoy fictional baseball this may not be the league for you (I prefer it myself). Oh and thanks for all your hard work Lloyd. I hope this is as much fun for you as we are having. |

When did the first leagues pop up? 2002? Seems to be a date when a lot of them did. I wonder how many actually stood the test of time?

CDL was my favorite. Best when Brian and Matt ran it, but still solid now. Had to step out due to time constraints but it was solid.
My league used to be good, but it's not anymore. Oh well. |

So, most of these elite leagues are now dead (or on ootp7, whatevs).
FOBL mounted your hot female cousin last week. WHILE SPORTING A PRETTY TIARA AND FUZZY SLIPPERS. FOBL. Laughing at your insignificant startup league. Since 2001. |

First leagues started in 2000 using OOTP2. The Computer Baseball League and Crackerjack are the only ones I know that still remain. Might be more, thou.
