How would one import the new Rolen/Cubby roster into the new world template?
Also, is it possible to import the Nippon League into the world template with the Rolen/Cubby roster? Thanks for any input. I have said this before (and saying it again) this is a great addition to the game.

we are currently looking into a way to import the roster that everyone makes into the game. Hopefully this feature will get better as time goes on.
Yes we will release a set with all fictionals players |

I have ran test with these rosters and sometimes it gets better and sometimes it gets worse. We're really working hard to get the imports that we get to turn out properly on here and if not we will have to just recode the players, hopefully not that.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in helping make real rosters for the NCAA league in this template?

Good work guys.
Looks like being the most significant and useful mod out there once we have quality rosters put into the template as well.

One question: when you guys created this template, were you using defaul injury files or ones modded ones (say with no or fewer career ending injuries)? I am sure that this is one of those things "locked" into the template.

the default injury file but this is something you change after you make it into a league not before

Is the plan to insert the best rosters for each of the world leagues into this template then release the whole thing as a packaged World database? Or would this be too large to do?

it's something that has been discussed, but it would take a pretty big team and I would think quite some time to pull off

I think I misunderstood the question, you have to edit the injury file before creating the league and since we haven't created a league file yet just a template you can use whatever injury file you want

Hi guys. Still stuck, please help
Hi, The goblin is stuck. I continue to make sure all the scheduled games are even as well as all the teams in each league. But when creating the league, I continue to get stuck at 97% complete when generating the schedule. Do I need to delete leagues? Please help. Any help would be great. Thanks, The Goblin

I believe you are mistaking that with quciksaves. Templates don't have the injury file made yet so you can't edit it.

Any Idea when you will release the fictional template. I am having problems with retired players showing up in my league leaders when I release all players and delete all free agents, Also for some reason I am experiencing very low walk totals with both versions.

As a follow up to the previous post, I also have been having problems with stat outputs, specifically walk totals.
Using the template and modifying it slightly so that the Major League has 36 teams (3 divisions, 6 teams each), I have run two separate test seasons and the walk totals were skewed. One one season, I have seen a number of pitchers that have pitched 200+ innings and have zero walks on the season. On the second season (started a new game), I did some research and used the 1961 Major League Baseball season as a guide to set my league totals (I adjusted the 1961 totals slightly and proportionately increased the totals for a 36-team league). I have simmed to 6-15-07 & did not see the problem corrected. I see high HR totals, high strikeout, and very low walk totals on the leaderboards. For example, I have several batters with close to 100 strikeouts, close to 30 HRs and the batter with the most walks is someone with 14 walks through June 15th. Seems rather off but I do not know what could be causing this. Any thoughts/help is appreciated. Thanks. |
