because more than likely patch 2 will do nothing more to fix the game than patch 1 and then Marc and SI will pressure Markus into not fixing anything else so he can get started on OOTP '07

Marc, why site only me? I wasn't the one who made the derogatory comment in the first place, nor did I elaborate on the issue? But the comments he made are not fair, and were inappropriate for this thread.

you guys are so way off-base here.
- when you buy a PS2 or XBox game for $40-50 when it first comes out, and then the price drops to $20 when it is a year old, do you ever ask for a refund?
- when you bought an Ipod and the price dropped because they came out with newer models did you ask Apple for some compensation?
- when you buy a car and then see the price slashed when the next year's model comes out so they get rid of inventory, do you ask for money back?

what company/product does this? allows you to get a refund when they lower prices on a product because you were a "loyal customer" who bought such product when it first came out. i have no idea why you think your entitled to this, but i would love to hear other examples in which such practices were implemented before marc even considers doing the same for you

Sorry, just yours was the latest post on the subject. Sorry I wasn't digging you out there, just making a general point.

Wow, this sure got crazy fast. I doubt I'll see a response to this before this thread is locked but I just wanted to ask what a lot of people are thinking.

What possible motive would I have to preorder OOTP 2007? It used to be the discount but if I can wait for a more stable version in the middle of the year why wouldn't we?

Ozzie, now your starting to post blatant crap. Please tone down your posts to something a little more constructive.

those are decent examples but don't really fit here. you aren't expected to have to buy a new ipod or car every year. but in this kind of situation, Marc needs to have the loyal customers buy OOTP year in and year out

It is called customer service. Show your customers that their concerns are being taken care off. Do we have that, heck no

You can wait, I cannot force you to purchase. I will offer you a discount and give you as much info I can on the game but my suggestion is that if you are unhappy with the way things have gone you should download the demo version of OOTPB2007 before making a purchase.

Amen brother, no way will my money ever see OOTP '07. After this, it is obvious OOTP is on the downhill. It was a good run while it lasted

No worries, I can see how fast this thread is moving

If it is any consideration, I think it is a good idea to offer a 10%-25% discount, but it would be nice to do something else for those who did put their fair in SI before the game was released.

I'd suggest allowing them a discount on any other SI title, which improves your cash stream at the same time as saying "thanks" to those who have already bought OOTP.
