Also, I'm willing to give a pass on this one because it's the different sports issue, but when they were flashing to his Nebraska kicking days, they showed the attempted extra point, leading Buck to say "He went out there to try for an extra point, wound up scoring a touchdown." You can't get a touchdown on an extra point attempt, you can only get a two-point conversion. Why would anyone kick an extra point (except for the potential final, winning point) if you had the potential to get six points from two yards away?

I think I need to start watching these games with the sound off again...

Looked it up. Yea it was only the 8th. When I thought it was the 7th last night I was shocked. I was far from a TV though which explains it.

Joe Buck doesn't have a football mentality.

Bengie Molina has a football mentality. He played Peewee football, and you can tell from the way he throws out would-be base stealers.

I think they were probably referring to the fact that he bumped Cabrera off the bag with that slide.

As for the second, I can't give Buck a pass. He's on FOX's NFL A-team. If he doesn't know the difference... ouch.

Oh man, I didn't know he did football too... I don't think the South Florida region gets Fox's A-team too often, or maybe I just tune it out more easily somehow, so that explains why I (originally) gave him the pass.

Nice rundown by Rowand. I thought for sure that was good for at least one run, if not a straight up homer.
