My 11 would be.

David James Portsmouth

Leighton Baines Wigan Athletic
Nemanja Vidic Man Utd
Jamie Carrager Liverpool
Gary Neville Man Utd

Ronaldo Man Utd (Player of the Season)
Mikel Arteta Everton
Michael Essien Chelsea
Ryan Giggs Man Utd

Didier Drogba Chelsea
Dimitar Berbatov Spurs

Although Essien has played mainly as a defender I think he's been too good to leave out of a starting 11, yes bit biased with Baines but he has been Latics best player this season and couldn't have a team without a Tic in it

While I'm contemplating my All-EPL 11...

"Fat" Freddy Shepherd will, apparently, "****ing carry [Michael Owen] back to Anfield" for 9 million pounds.

OK, so he's just kidding, but...not the best handling of the situation. Not that I'm surprised mind you.

Big Sam heading to Newcastle? No real shock there

Moving back to ukhs' favourite subject

I can see West Ham getting a result on Sunday. Beat them already this year (I know it's different at OT but I can still see it), got the double over Arsenal (didn't they do that last year also?) - they can beat the big teams. Personally, from a netural standpoint, as far as ON the pitch goes, West Ham can be 10x more exciting to watch than Wigan and SU, so I hope the Hammers stay up.

Is anyone supporting SU, or is it just Wigan that fans want to stay up?

Not a matter of who fans want to stay up, the majority of fans want West Ham to go down. United have a few things to settle with West Ham, wasn't that long ago United were going for the title on the last day of the season and West Ham had nothing to play for but they grabbed a draw against United so stopped them winning the Prem.

United are probably the worst team to play on the last day of the season when they can relax and their infront of their own fans, West Ham could easily find themselves 3-0 down within the first 20 minutes.

End of the day West Ham broke the laws on purpose, they lied about and so cheated, even if Wigan stay up and say Sheff Utd go down I'll still feel bitter and so will a good % of football fans that West Ham weren't dealt with more severly and the Premiership have opened it up for teams to cheat because all they have to do is at the end of the season tell the Premiership they cheated and if the Prem try to take points of them just point the finger at West Ham and say "you didn't take points of them".

Also, more teams can try and sign players who have already played for two teams in the same season as UEFA was more than happy to help good ol' Liverpool. Again.

It's sad for the fans and players of West Ham as they have been brilliant and they are the ones who get the abuse. Who exactly on WH was involved with the deal?

I just hope all teams play to survive and not to try and deal out their own sense of justice. If SU go down and they didn't give it their all, then **** them, they deserve to go down. There is no excuse for not giving your all for yourselves and your fans.

Agree. I think UKHS is living in dreamland if he thinks SU wont be giving their all. There is just too much at stake for the players themselves for them to give a lackluster performance. I would expect to see SU play a lot of people back as they have the EPL's worst defense.

Terry has had a poor season by his standards plus injuries and also why would I put a CB in a LB slot, how many times have you seen Baines play ? No direspect but it's easy to pick the glory boys when all you see are the glory boys, my reckoning I bet you've seen Chelsea play in live full games around 15 times this season and Latics I bet you've seen them about 3 times if that.

Why am I in a dreamland it's been done before, two teams playing out a result to satisfy both of their needs.

OK..how bout Cole? Wigan have been very poor defensivly down the stretch. Does it make sense to name Baines all League when he hasnt been able to deliver when it counts?

Anyone in threat of relegation then? I think there is too much at stake to take the chance. Why can't both teams just play to win? What is so bad in putting their fates in their own hands? Surely it's a terrible advert for the game if teams are prepared to do each other huge favors like that and have no respect for the competition they are in.

SU's players have no need to let Wigan win. If anything, with the possibility of relegation, they will be playing as hard as possible so as to make an impression on other managers looking to fill holes on their team for the upcoming season. I appreciate the romantic notion of two teams colluding to screw a third. I just dont think its too realistic.

Good point. It does sound like it would corrupt the spirit of the game.

Newcastle are constantly in turmoil with all these managerial changes. It will take at least 3 seasons for him to accomplish much.

Warnock is talking up a win, would he really go out there for anything else? http://news.bbc.co.uk/player/sol/new...tm?bw=bb&mp=wm
