Next Series: Detroit Tigers

4 games vs the Tigers. Tigers are expected to be sold to Gary Wheeler after the season, who is expected to make some major changes. For now they have to finish a terrible 2019 season.
Sox are 3-0 vs DET this year. Detroit enters on a 4 game losing streak while the Sox swept the Yankees for a 4 game winning streak.

Chasing History: Brett Bremer

Brett added 1 more RBI to his RBI total but has lost some of his average and has not hit a HR in several games. With 13 games remaining it is doubtful he will reach #1 in any of the 4 categories that he is chasing #1 in. AVG. HR, RBI & R.

3 games in Sin City. The aces looked like for awhile that they were going to be a playoff team then folded. They have a ton of power hitters but bad pitching, can not hit for average and are atrocious on defense.
Sox are 3-3 vs the aces this year. Aces are 4-6 in their last 10. Sox are 7-3.

Ewok Village Ewoks ace, Screwball just won his 250th game. It is a great accomplishment not only for him but for all Ewoks. Back in 2003 Ewok Village was passed over for an original team become many felt that Ewoks would be a circus as a baseball team. This being the final season that Ewok Village will have a team, they have proven that anyone can play baseball. Screwball has averaged 25 wins per season in his 11 year career. Only player to average more wins per season is Kyp Durron at 27, and that was over 6 seasons. He is also the quickest SP to 3000 K beating out Jim Cecil by 4 games.
Nick Simmons K's 16 Aces, setting the team record for a single game, beating his previous 2 records.
Chevy Larks RF Ricky Zard gets his 2000th Hit.

Only one loss this week. Team has been playing really well with a few exceptions. We should have some more callups by Tuesday. White Sox tie the 1971 Baltimore Orioles with 4 20 game winners.

Chasing History: Brett Bremer

Brett has had a good week. He tied Roger Maris at 61 HR and is one RBI behind Jeff Bagwell at 188. Barring injury there is no reason why he wont get to 192. Doubtful he will get much further then 65 HR.

Doug has been a great SS this year. He is competing with Steve Arashikage & Anatoly Krimov for AL Rookie Of The Year and might win a GG. He is the older brother of 2B Jack Johnson.
2019 Update. Doug has been a great compliment to Bremer, & Arashikage. He has hit in every spot of the order this year. He filled in as the leadoff hitter while brother Jack was out. Hit #2 for a time when Lamont Morris struggled. Hit 4th when cousin Steve Arashikage was out and has hit 5th and 6th for most of the year. He won a GG last year and will probably win another one this year and is a 2 time All star.

Weekly Standings

Not much change in the EBL. Bird City is trying to catch Springfield.

Pirates & Dodgers have both clinched their divisions. Twins overtook the O's for the last AL Wildcard. Now the Twins have the Yankees and Orioles nipping at their heels. NL Wildcard teams are set with 7 to play unless there is an epic collapse.
LS teams are basically set. DS still has the Empire & Mynocks trying to get in.
