McAllister was a tweener with respect to weight who's opponents ranged from Middlewight to Heavyweight. He beat hevyweights Joe Bonds, Battling Levinsky (twice), Sailor Grande, and Willie Meehan. He drew with heavies Gunboat Smith and Meehan. Also beat Johnny Howard, Fighting Billy Murray, Tom McMahon and Paddy Lavin. His only career losses were a decision to Jack Dempsey, a KO to Mike Gibbons and a TKO to Mick King who he earlier fought to a draw.

Thomas Hearns at LHW

Defeanted Dennis Andries in 1987 and Virgil Hill in 1991. Lost the version of the LHW title he won from Hill to Iran Barkley in 1992. Barkley had his number.
