Belleville Stags

The Belleville Stags were a minor league baseball team based in Belleville, Illinois from 1947 to 1949. The Belleville Stags were charter members of the Class D level Illinois State League and remained a franchise when the league changed names to the Mississippi–Ohio Valley League in 1949. The league evolved to become the Midwest League in 1956. The Stags were named and supported by their namesake, Stag Beer.
The Belleville Stags were a minor league affiliate of the St. Louis Browns in 1947 and 1948 and New York Yankees in 1949.

Hey Tex, I found out about an old league that I'd like to recreate in OOTP and I'd be curious to see what you could come out with (like the fictional South Jersey Baseball League you did for me, which I love).

It's the Green Mountain League that ran briefly in 1923-24. I didn't find much, but here's a short description from the Vermont Mountaineers Web site:

The Green Mountain League had a Barre-Montpelier team among its franchises. During this period of prohibition, the teams were often a front for rum running between "wet" Canada and "dry" Vermont. One of the brightest stars of this League was Lou "Crip" Polli, a native of Barre. Seven players from these teams went on to play major league baseball.

So, I dug a little more and I found that there was six teams based in Vermont, New York, and Quebec. I didn't find any team names, but here's what I'd like to use based on names used in these cities in the early 20th century.

St. Johnsbury (VT) Senators
Barre-Montpelier (VT) Intercities
Newport (VT) Trojans
Plattsburgh (NY) Brewers
Saranac Lake (NY) Red Sox
Sherbrooke (QC) Canadians

I'd like a vintage style from the 30s-40s, but you are free to do whatever you want. I know it'll look good.

So whenever you can, there's no rush, and if you're not interested, no biggie, I'll give it a try (even though I haven't done that kind of stuff in a few years).

Logo was a Knuckler original edited to fit... Uniforms were based off the set that went with the Knuckler logo...

One of these days when my current dynasties play out, I will create a txranger-knuckler league using their marvelous creations.
