Sox end the month on a 11 game winning streak. With Charlotte in teh International League playoffs the only players that were recalled from AAA for now are: Juan Martinez, Jeff Bodine & Peter Trapp. The players that will be September callups are C George Letin, 1B Luis Vazquez, 2B Wyatt Payton, MR Bennie Rich & MR Nelson Reyes. Reyes & Payton have both seen action on the ML roster this season. Some other misc minor league veterans might also come up.

The final month is finally here. Many players are very excited to see if Brett an catch Mark McGwire & Hack Wilson. September overall should be an easy month. only team we play that are above .500 are: MIN, NYY, LA & SEA. The Dodgers series will be our 2nd Turn Back The Clock series. We will wear our 1959 road jerseys while they will wear 1959 home jerseys.
Brett has an amazing 121 RBI with RISP.

Brett is 8th all time in single season RBI recently passing Babe Ruth's 1927 season, Sam Thompson's 1895 & 1887 seasons, Todd Helton's 2000 campaign & Babe Ruth in 1921. Next up is Lou Gehrig's 1930 season which he had 174 RBI. Then Jimmie Foxx & Lou Gehrig at 175. 26 games to go and 18 RBI to tie.

Brett is also chasing Mark McGwire's single season homerun record of 70 set in 1998. He is currently tied with Ryan Howard @ 18th all time single season.
Jimmie Foxx, Wilbur Duggleby, Babe Ruth & Jeff Bagwell are in front of him before he ties Babe Ruth & Barry Bonds at 60.

Some in the media are beginning to stir up some controversy saying that he his only hitting all these homeruns because he is a Jedi. All parks in every league that has a Jedi have ysalamiri running throughout the park. All bats that the Jedi uses are tempered with Ysalamiri urine. Both the White Sox and Mets have clinched their divisions. Cubs have the 3rd best record in MLB (and if I set it up properly will get a 1st rd bye) Marlins have fallen out of the NL wildcard but are only ½ game out. Yankees are trying to catch Minnesota.

The Endor League has Wild West thing going on in the AL West. Highland, Bird City & Now Springfield have all lead the West this year. NL is pretty much over with.

In the CBF LS both Organa & Council are 2½ games out for the final LS wildcard spot. While Bankhead is a ½ game out and the Empire is a game out in the DS wildcard race.

Good week overall. Sterling Thomas had a walk off hit vs the Yankees on Friday to beat them in 10. Jaime Garcia is DtD with a forearm strain.

Brett was quiet for 5 games before going off on the Yankees on Saturday with 2 HR and several RBI. While it is doubtful he will hit .413 for the season and will not catch Hugh Duffy no matter what he is also very high on the single season average list also. Now top 5 in RBI and 11th on the HR list. Can he catch Adrian Gonzalez at 63 which is #1 for the American League?

Jeff is a solid 3B who also plays 1B, LF, & RF. This year is his 1st year as a starter with the Sox, although he is splitting time with rookie 3B Fred Jones.

2019 Update: Jeff has spent most of the season at AAA. Since he is mostly just a 1B/3B he did not have much of a chance to play at the majors this year.

In the EBL Tigger Johnson like his best friend Brett Bremer in MLB is going after a Triple Crown. Tigger would be the 1st rookie in the EBL to win it.
Screwball is John Hammer's biggest competition for AL Kyp Durron award.


Texas Rangers & NY Yankees are trying to catch Minnesota for the final AL Wildcard spot. Miami overtook Philly for the last NL Wildcard spot. Mets clinch the NL East (I reported wrong to start the month) Zach Wheeler is trying for the NL pitching Triple Crown.

The Wildcard in the DS is getting interesting. 3 spots and 5 teams fighting over them with 21 games to play.
