It slows down your computer when its backing up.

So carbonite would enable us to save all TBCB fights over the years as well?

no hope

It looks like i've lost everything important on my PC including over a thousand hours of work on TBCB. I have a disk but it seems to be version 2 and not 2.5. If I can't retrieve my work the devastation will be great and I'll be out of circulation for months if not indefinately as I try to redo everything I've done. I;m really really upset!

Nightmare JD!

One small crumb of comfort, I recently downloaded most of your work and planted it a database before transporting it to a new uni I am working on.

I have a file with 2,224 individual ratings that appeared on your threads.

Send me a PM with your email address and I will zip them over to you.

no good

Thanks but that's not what I need. I have already downloaded my own ratings onto my other computer which took about thirty hours. But what I had done is take thousands of other people's ratings and modified them to fit my standards and never posted them. One thing I did was rerate EVERY old timer in the game. That;s gone for good. Plus now I'll have to redownload every single fighter from the forum and fighter packs, many of them I'll have to modify (put in boxrec #, DOB, etc etc). That's going to take months if not well over a year. I almost want to give up and not have anything more to do with the game. Almost...

Good news

I was able to save my data by installing a demo copy of the game on my workhorse PC. Now "all" I have to do is quick download all the previously missing fighter files to folders and transfer them to the other PC. Lots of work but better than starting from scratch!

time

I don't know how long the Demo will last so I'm going to be engaged in some marathon downloading sessions over the next few days. Consequently I won't have any time to do ratings for the time being.

help

I only have 10hours left on my demo game which is not enough time to download all my data. How can I save a whole universe at once and move it into a file? I don't know how to use the select all file exchange. Can someone please explain to me the step by step process?

Victory

I managed to save all the essential material I was in danger of losing. Now everything is safely tucked away in files, a habit I intend to continue. Planning on getting an external harddrive so everything I've worked on is safe from viruses, etc. By the way, I came across a thread listing fighters in the top ten in past years that never appeared in the game. I'd like to tackle it but now I can't find it. Anybody know where its located. It's such a big forum!
