Andrei 'The Invisible Man' Schevchenko off and Kollou on....what a mistake bringing him to London.

Kallou wastes an amazing chance on goal when he decides to look pass first.

Liverpools lack of dynamic midfielders is being exposed thus far. Will they be able to break down the stout Chelsea defense next week??

That is more than the Cowboys new stadium!

The 1.2 billion US also includes extensive development besides the stadium.

Minutes applause for Alan Ball, personally think this is a great idea. At football games I'm not one who thinks there should be a minutes silence I go with the minutes applause idea, footballs about passion not silence.

Ok this isn't a European Football question but I didn't feel like starting a new thread and figured I could get an answer here.

China and Thailand are playing a friendly in a couple weeks. Which country is the stronger country?

It seems like China would have the much better squad, just curious if any of you would know the answer.

China is quickly improving in the football world as they are pouring money into infrastructure and youth programs.
They are also starting to export some of their better players for big money which is a tell tale sign of the quality of a nations football.
They are still well behind Japan and Korea but I would rank them third in Asia and they are picking up ground quickly.

I am not even sure how popular football is in Thailand.
I do not remember much from my last trip, but that was many years ago.
I know the game is huge in Indonesia and Malaysia even though both those nations do not have much in the way of quality in the game.

So you would expect China to beat Thailand more often than not?

Yes, but friendlies dont mean alot
Players dont really play too hard and alot of times managers dont use their top starting XI

A better indicator would be the Asian WC qualifying
You will also get to see Chinas U21s next summer in the Olympics which should give everyone a peak into their future.

Had a friend in college from Thailand, and soccer/football is the #1 sport there. He and his Thai friends would have pick-up matches on one of the open fields every so often. He was a supporter of one of the big clubs in the EPL ... ManU or Liverpool, IIRC.

The European season is coming to a close so China may play a weakened team as their better players will be playing club football, saying that I would still expect China to win by a couple of goals, latest rankings have China 72 and Thailand 119.

China has one of the greatest womans teams in the world. Sun Wen was one of the greatest players, male or female, to ever play. The Womans World Cup will be played this summer. If it is anything like the last one it will really rock.

IMO it would be unfair to deduct points given the new ownership. This season has been punishment enough for the Hampsters.

The club broke the rules so the club should be punished no matter who is in charge, imo West Ham were given an easy punishment. If they stay up then they can more than easily pay the fine from the massive rise they will get next season, if they go down they'll afford it with the Prem parachute payment plus the sale of players like Tevez, Upson, Neill and so on.

On another note Man Utd and Spurs are raising ticket prices for next season even though they have made a fortune this season and will do so next season, all I have to say is greedy $%£"!£"!.

Sunderland 3 v 2 Burnley.

2 cracking goals within the 5 goals, 3 penalties 2 of them imo weren't penalties. Great game and have to say the Championship is the best league to watch over the last 2-3 years.
