We are 1-1 vs the Corvettes

this is our 2nd interleague series vs the 'Vettes this season. Normally the 'Vettes are a solid team, near or at the top in the Central. While they are not terrible this season, a .500 record is bad season by their standards. Normally Rf Joey Palmer is in the hunt for NL MVP, this season, he is having an off season. Their pitching isn't great but they do have a talented rotation.

7-5 vs Sharks

There's blood in the water and the Sharks are chasing in coming in to finish us off. We could split and remain in 1st, we lose and they take over. we win, we will still just be treading water until the next time we face them. In the last few days I have lost both of my 2b and my ace will miss his next start. That being said, we tend to play well with our backs against the wall. The Sharks are stacked. From MVP candidate 1b Dan Lincoln to Rf Ronald Caton to 3b Timothee Lazzarali to SP Walter Johnson, SP Julia Roberts & CL Bert Cundy. MGR Fernado Moran has done a great job with this group. They have a great Offense but we have better pitching and Defense.

With both Seinfeld & Perez injured, Eidsvag will platoon at 2b with Perch. When Perch is in Eidsvag will be in Cf.

5-1 so far in September, 81-55 .595 1st AL East +6

Despite the 2 injuries and the suspension, we have played well so far including a sweep of the 2nd place Sharks. Christy will miss his next start and Middleton SP Toni Henderson will take his place. after that game, she will go back to Middleton as their season is over and their playoff run begins. With the fact that I have brought up several of their players and they have 2 misc injuries, I am no longer sold that they will go deep into the playoffs. So several players will be up sooner vs later. I will update the call up list when i bring everyone up but now 1 additional player will come up.

We play a 3 game series @ Gotham City then host Pontiac for 4.

Other then Christy & Nunez, the pitching was great last week.

Humbert really stepped up in McCovey's absence. Eidsvag has been hitting 5th the last few games and has hit better. Tigris has been great so far.

The Batmen are one of the few teams that have a winning record vs us. thankfully, they are far enough back that they are not a major threat unless they sweep us. Draco is suspended for 2 games, so we won't see him until at least Game 3. They are a solid team and i am hoping they miss the playoffs. Draco should easily win the Al Screwball and Lf Sergio Gonzalez is an MVP candidate. They have a good mix of veterans and younger players on their roster.
