Of course, I do also really want to see J.P. frequently play in the field next to Zeb, but the AI may not always make that possible, you know. I did, however, propose Jethro with ratings at various other positions besides shortstop, for sure, so he could perhaps play those positions at times too, as well, jg2977. CD out.

It looks to me like Hillsboro has 4 competent hitters, but the other 5 in the starting lineup range from weak to awful. Their defense looks like it could use improvement too.
As for South Fork, the one spot where they are weak is baserunning, and there were several instances in the series vs. Hartsdale where they were thrown out on the basepaths, and that really hurt them. In one game, South Fork was down by two runs in the 7th inning with no outs. Jeddy Holmes hit a leadoff double but was thrown out at 3rd trying to leg it into a triple. It proved to be a huge factor in the game as South Fork lost a close one in the end. I think that South Fork beat up on a lot of the weak teams, and when you win by several runs a bad baserunning blunder won't hurt that much. But bad baserunning decisions end up being disastrous against much better teams who are rival playoff opponents. Last edited by jg2977; 08-25-2022 at 04:09 PM. |

TUCS - Game 5
Three years ago, Chicopee was a surprise TU pennant winner, and then a Pro Cup champion. Could the Hartsdale Hellcats accomplish the same feat this year? The Cats have shocked the Tycobbian Union in their first ever postseason appearance to win their first pennant. They will be participating in Pro Cup XIV. |

Denton City may need more pitching and better defense, along with better lineup protection for Freeman, at least, if they want to have better chances of winning Pro Cup titles before he retires. Freeman's now about 33 or 34 years old in your IPA, I think, so it's quite likely that he might retire before he's 40 or so years old, in terms of his playing career. Walton's not much younger than him, either, so both of them will probably be retired within the next five or so years, more or less, at most, if memory serves me correctly.
Zebulon Morse and Jeddy Holmes have each won one title so far, while Henry Clarence Freeman, Kyle Jordan Walton, Tanner Garber, and Jethro Paul Morse each haven't yet won any IPA Pro Cup titles, in their respective playing careers. Of course, Barrett Parverol and Simon Clairborne haven't even debuted yet in your IPA for Sugar Valley and Turon, respectively, so they quite obviously haven't won any IPA titles yet either, you know. CD out.

Colfax's quest for a 3rd straight Pro Cup has come to an end, thanks to Glasco and the Morse Brothers. Glasco is going to their 2nd Pro Cup (1879, 1884) and will be looking to win their 2nd title. |
