Tx, can you please do a version of this logo with just "Spiders" instead of "Barking Spiders"? it would be greatly appreciated.

So, this is where i left off in April of 2019. I want to finish this league, but I am hoping for some help. One of the issues for me is figuring out which cities to include and which ones to exclude. It's not as east as looking at the biggest towns in New England because many of them end up being suburbs, and I am hoping to have more iconic places. Some of the places I know I want to include are Bangor, Springfield (MA), Providence, Bridgeport, Waterbury, Lowell, New Bedford, Fall River, Plymouth, Salem, Auburn-Lewiston, Torrington, Montpelier, and Gloucester. So that means I need quite a few more towns that would be considered iconic. Feel free to make suggestions for nicknames as well as towns as any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Back in the 1940s-1950s, there was a collegiate league, the Northern League, mainly in Vermont, but also with a few teams in NH. The league also existed from the mid 1930's until WWII, but was mainly a Vermont-NY league. These were the teams that took part:
Burlington Cardinals, Rutland Royals, Bennington Generals, Brattleboro Maples, St. Albans Giants, St. Johnsbury Yankees, Twin City (Barre-Montpelier) Trojans, Keene Bluejays, Claremont (NH) Pilots I'd also suggest White River Junction (Conductors), Biddeford (Hugenots), Fitchburg (Finches), Holyoke (Paper Barons), Pawtucket (Slaters), and Brockton (Cobblers).
