RUDS - Game 4
Colfax's quest for a 3rd straight Pro Cup is going full-steam ahead. They swept Belle Plaine and are in the RUCS for the 4th consecutive season. |

I think that Jethro Morse was a closer because I forgot to adjust his stamina, which was only a 9. I've upgraded it so that he will be a starter next year, and then he should be a two-way player. With him both batting and pitching, Glasco will be very tough to beat.
I don't know what's up with South Fork. 3 times in the past 4 years they've had the best record in the IPA, but in all of those seasons they failed to reach the Pro Cup. They made the Pro Cup in 1882 but lost in 7 games, however they did not have the best record that season. The Stallions remind me of the NFL's Green Bay Packers and MLB's New York Yankees - designed to win a lot of games in the regular season, but perhaps don't have the depth to win in the playoffs. Or it could just be bad luck, in that their best players are underachieving at the worst possible time. South Fork has won 2 Pro Cups in its history, but they should have 4 or 5 by now. What do you use for scouting rating scales? I use 1-100, generally, if not always. Just curious, that's all. Please let me know, if and when you like. Of course, I'd tend to root for the players more on the Freemans' side of things, but if their rivals don't perform well, then it's probably not as interesting, challenging, or fun to watch them compete here, you know, jg2977.
Do what you have to do in regards to making it possible for J.P. to pitch, even if you might perhaps actually have to look at my proposed profile for some help in order to do that well enough here, then. Thank you. CD out.

It seems that OOTP will let players be two-way if on the pitching side he's classified as a starter. Not sure why it won't work when he's in a relief or closing role. I'd rather have JP be a starter too. Although with a great closer on the mound, if Glasco has a lead in the late innings, they're certainly going to win. In the OOTP playoffs I see many blown saves, so I'm sure that it makes a huge difference with J.P. being in the closer role. KJ Walton had a horrible year pitching. I'll have to see what happened to his ratings. Last edited by jg2977; 08-25-2022 at 11:33 AM. |

You don't necessarily have to do it after this season's awards are announced, and before the next season begins, if you don't want to. But if you would care to post the career stats as appropriate for all six of my proposed players to date who've entered your IPA, even Tanner Garber, as of the 1884 season, I'd be most appreciative, for sure, jg2977. Of course, you can do it in my main graphics thread, if and when you like, you know.
Specifically for Henry Clarence Freeman, K.J. Walton, both Morse Brothers, Jeddy Holmes and Tanner Garber, at this point. After Barrett and Simon get in as well, you can do the same for them as you wish and all, of course, jg2977. Thank you. CD out.

In Walton's case, perhaps you can check his proposed original pitching ratings, and adjust them as you see fit, if they seem to have declined too much relative to his age and all. But I think most of his difficulty last year was because of Hillsboro's defense behind him when he pitched, most likely. I suspect very strongly that this was also the case for other pitchers on Hillsboro, not just him, though. Just so you know, jg2977. Hillsboro is weak in hitting and defense, if I'm not too mistaken here, more or less, and that's probably why South Fork has been able to take the last several division titles, at least here.
I recently gave my assessment as well for Denton City as they now stand, as well, it seems. Perhaps if the mentioned areas are addressed for them, both Denton City and Hillsboro might actually get past Chicopee and South Fork, respectively, before Freeman and Walton each retire, and perhaps even win at least one Pro Cup title apiece, at that. At least, that's what I currently think here, you know. CD out.
