Next Series: Cincinnati Reds

3 games vs Cincy Reds. Turn Back The Clock to 1919. Both the Sox & Reds will wear their home and road 1919 uniforms. The Soxwill sell tickets all tickets at $19.19. The Sox also changed The Cell to reflect more of a 1919 feel.
The Reds are bad this year. They have very few offensive guys that are worth mentioning. They have Steve Jones, Mike Foister (brother of Steve Foster) & Matt Cain.

For Nutt

The Reds as i said were really good last year and just seemed to go in a different direction. Billy Hamilton got traded to ATL in 2017. Had several good years stealing.

No trades on the 31st. I was kind of shocked about that. White Sox still might move Strangahan & Bodine but will wait until Arashikage & Jackson come back.
Alderaan Royals will be without RF Chong for the season. They are battling with Atlanta in the NL East.
Price has been amazing his last 4 outings.
Dom DeBoer wins his 200th game. He is the all time winniest Jamaican born player.
Brett wins the AL BOTM.
Earl Morris win the NL BOTM.

White Sox Weekly

Cubs swept the Sox. The Sox have won the Turn Back The Clock to 1919 series vs the Reds taking the 1st 2 games. Still having offensive issues even vs the Reds.

August will start out hard vs Mets, Marlins & Rangers. After that is gets a little easier. Both Oakland & TB are bad. Pirates have been slipping this month but are still a good team. Cleveland & Indy will be a cakewalk. Twins are .500 right now but I think will be bad by the end of the month.

Monthly Standings

Things are getting interesting ion teh AL East, Boston is trying to catch Pittsburgh. Pirates have some major injuries to Skylar, Lester & Taillon. Boston is without Bogaerts & Ruffin for awhile.
Sox have a comfortable lead over Seattle. Mets are dominating the NL East. Cubs, Marlins, Blue Jays & Astros are the current NL wildcard teams. Boston, Baltimore, Seattle & Texas are the current AL Wildcard teams with the Twins a game out.
In the EBL teh Al East & NL West are basically over as the Capitals & Cougars have very comfortable leads. The AL West is wide open with Bird City, Highland, Springfield & Panasonic all in the mix. The NL East is a tight race between Atlanta & Alderaan.

A look at the Highland Scots.

Hope Jedi hold a slim lead for the top spot in the LS over the Rebellion. Veren is dominating the DS. Wildcard isn't as close s it may seem.

A look at Cascade Falls Minotaurs.

Next Series: New York Mets

3 games vs the Mighty Mets. Obviously the team to beat. So many great players on this team.Wilbur Duggleby, Walker, Price, MacBride, Williams, Wheeler, Hernandez, the list goes on and on. They do have some injuries themselves right now. They also have a former Capitals player in Gerard Diplock but he can't seem to hit anymore.

Lee is a rookie LHP reliever. He has many roles on the White Sox. He has pitched in long relief, setup, Closer and Leftie Specialist. He can do it all which is in part why he made the all star team as a rookie & as a MR which rarely make all star teams. He grew up idolizing Matt Thornton.
2019 update: Regger has been solid this year but is actually better vs RHB vs LHB. He is pitching mostly as teh setup but now that Jaime Garcia is back will be used more as the 7th inning setup.

Next Series: Miami Marlins

3 games @ the Fish. Seems like a very overachieving team when you look at their stats. Marlins park is big but seems odd that Cerrano is leading at only 15 HR. D'zinnik is still a great hitter and is their team leader. Castro is a good lefty.

4 games vs Rangers. We are 2-1 vs them. They are 5-5 in their last 10. Sox are 7-3. Very good offensive team and one truly dominating pitcher. They are battling for a wildcard spot.

Doug Didich also goes 5 for 7 in that game.
Nick Simmons manhandles the Texas Rangers.
Mike Hughes hits his 400th HR in that game vs Lake Venus. Congrats to him. Next milestone 3000 hits. He might get that before seasons end.

Good week 6 game winning streak. Pitching has been excellent all week. Offense is still struggling without Jackson & Arashikage. Sammy Hicks has been DtD for the last 6 days with a sore forearm so Hopkins has been catching the last 6 games.
