The Ravens are playing much better then they did last year. Esquire Joe has established himself as the best CF in the AL. Stats wise they are great except for Starter ERA but they have the best bullpen ERA. They have several injuries, although all are to lesser player and rolde players including teh veteran Chris Porter. With Porter out though, Jerry Link has turned himself into a solid offensive 1b, defense is lacking though.


New faces:
SP Ralph Laidison is a knuckleballer that has played most of his career with Geneva.He's a solid back end of teh rotation arm.


David Hyde Pierce played with MON the last 2 seasons and sports a career 2.51 ERA in 6 seasons.


Lf Lorenzo Sanchez is a good defensive rookie OF that should be a solid starter for a long time.


C Scott Levy is a rookie backup C. He has good pop and is solid on D but will be lucky to hit .210.


1b Slug Moore is a rookie 1b with tremendous power but will struggle on D and to hit for AVG.

Ramirez continues to pitch really well after his slow April start. Evans gives me 2.2 IP of no hit relief for his 2nd Save. A couple of solo HR and a 2 run HR from Kennett supplied the offense. We learned that even Lamacchi has a good arm.

Francisco Rodriguez struggled in his 1st start with us. Dominguez was great for 3 innings, I am considering using him as an Opener. Kennett struggled. Offense tried to mount a comeback and did but the 6 ER were too much.

The Sharks will be without Walter Johnson for almost 2 months and as it is they are struggling. They need players to step up if they want to get back into the wildcard race. They recently brought up RP Trent Noland. Noland was great for me while with Willowbrook.

Nøkleby looked bad, as did Boskovic & Ortiz. I can't lie, them stinking up the place influenced who I drafted after this game. The offense tried to get us back into it but the pen decided to put it out of reach.

In my opinion, we had a very good draft. We drafted heavily on the pitching side and I believe we have 3/5 (Harden, Sain & Olvera) of the 2041 rotation in this draft. We got 2 good Catchers (Shafrov & Flores), either of which could be a backup to Kendrick by 2040, '41. We have 3 RP in Pagan, Chirinos & Cimber that could play for Delgado this season or in 2038. Cordero could be a 4th OF as soon as 2038. Wells as a huge upside and could develop into a 4th/5th SP or a really good bullpen arm. I drafted several leaders that will help any clubhouse and a few pranksters to keep the clubhouse loose. How many of them will ultimately play in Delgado, only time will tell.

#3 Wayne Mainwaring, Cf, MAD a much better defender then the top 2 picks, with better speed and should hit as well. i see him as the best of the 3.


#4 Javier Mateo, CF, PC not as good of a hitter as the 1st 3 but can play 5 positions.


#5 Dan Stevenson, 3b, A very good defensive 3b, who can play some 2b & SS. Should be a solid hitter. Reminds me of Stan Pearl.

Cliff Harden LHP Projects to be an ace. Should keep the ball on the ground and could be a #3 by 2040 and compliment, Nøkleby, Otani, Rodriguez & Cicotte.


Emilio Pagan, RHP Looks to be a ready now RP, which will save me from trading for a bullpen arm.


Johnny Sain RHP I have had good success with clones (Shoeless Joe, Walter Johnson, Mathewson & McCovey) so i am glad I got Sain.While he may not be as great as the original, I think he could be a solid 3/4 for us in 2-3 seasons.



Roberto Olvera LHP He will take time to develop that 3rd pitch but when he does he will be a good 3/4 in the rotation. If not he could be a good SU or LR.


Corinna Wells RHP She is similar to Olvera, in that she needs to develop a 3rd pitch to be an effective SP. If she doesn't, she could be a solid bullpen piece. i like having more then 1 RP who can give me 3-4 innings of shutout ball.
