Awesome job men! I can definitely see what you were talking about with the way the ratings were centered. I use 2-8 scale or 20-80 and when I first looked at some players I thought, "oh man, that guy was rated low". Then as I checked out more I realized that it wasn't just a few guys but all of them that were lower than what I was used to in other sets.
I actually love it. While playing with 6.5, it seemed that every player had ratings of 6 or sevens and now it seems much more realistic. I was stoked to see that a lot of players even had below average scores (4's) and yet were still major league players. I haven't had the time to do any long term sims yet but I'd love to see that the AI generated players come in the same way, where having an 8 is very rare and even the best guys get 7's. Thanks again! |

Heres another thing to take into consideration Cubbys/Rolen, whenever I restart the game after playing it once, the colors are off like you are aware of, but the ratings are missing for every player. I checked A-rod and it was just all hyphens. I don't know what causes that. Hopefully the color and ratings problems are associated, so you can hit two birds with one stone. Thanks for all the hard work though!

I believe there is going to have to be some work put into the player generation percentages to make sure the new wave of amateur players aren't too good and fit the MLB line's that we have right now for ratings, but we'll see.

Mets Minor League
Cubby/Rolen,
I haven't downloaded the roster yet, but I guess it doesn't matter since you haven't looked at the lower minors yet. But anyway, the lowest farm team the Mets have in this game is a SECOND St. Lucie team, giving the Mets seven minor league clubs. The only St Lucie club is the Mets of high A ball. When I did research some weeks ago, I believe it was San Diego that was missing their 6th and lowest minor league club. The Mets lowest should be rookie ball's Kingsport Mets. But this is for when you get to the lower minors, no rush .

![]() The funny thing is I informed the powers that be about this, but as of 1.01 it wasn't changed. I'm not sure if it's been adjusted on 1.02. I guess not, lol...

Salaries are not too tough, about half of the way done and I've only been working on them about a hour... I would expect a final version tonight around 11-12 PM CT.

Cubby, how concerned are you with getting pitchers repertoires correct?
If you want I could put something together outlining all the White Sox pitchers and what they throw. ACTUALLY, on 2nd look it actually looks like you got them pretty well, I just saw Buehrle was off a little bit and figured they may all be, but that's not the case. By the way...thank you guys SO much for your work on this roster set. Last edited by WHarris13; 07-12-2006 at 04:56 PM. |

Because there ARE 2 St. Lucie teams. The first one is called the St. Lucie Mets, the second is called the GCL Mets. |

Looks like you switched Wrigley and the Cell between the Sox and Cubs.
And since I'm bored and in the mood to scan through this thing...you have the letter 'i' twice in Dolphins Stadium for the Marlins. Last edited by WHarris13; 07-12-2006 at 05:12 PM. |

![]() The Gulf Coast Mets are the Rookie Level minor league affiliate of the New York Mets. The team plays in Port St. Lucie, Florida, at Tradition Field. The team is comprised mainly of players who are in their first year of professional baseball either as draftees or non-drafted free agents from the United States, Canada, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and other countries.

The GCL Mets are the Kingsport Mets. This is their "Rookie" league team, and plays a short season (50 games or so) to coincide with the end of the collegiate season (end of June). This league serves a number of functions, but is often occupied with late round draft picks (i.e. rounds 30-50) who did not make the Low A Full Season team.

Ah yes, that's what it is. GCL teams haven't been renamed yet, although I will do that eventually. Also, VSL teams have to be added still.
I'm very interested in pitching repitoires, I aim to get them all correct, so if you see something off, shout it out in the other thread. Thanks for the help with Wrigley and Dolphins, I didn't put those together so didn't get a chance to check out the work on the MLB stadiums. |

going back to deadringer's post about the ratings being low. I know where your coming from. It scared me at first when I saw Vlad's power in th 70s, but then I look at everyone else and it looked good.
But here's what i'm doing for my online league. I am going to list a group of 5 players in 3 categories (Superstar, Average, Minor Leaguer) and list their ratings so guys can compare their players until they are used to everything. |

I've been sitting and patiently waiting since the game's release for a roster set. I sat back and watched people badger Cubby and Erich with questions of release dates, complaints of the amount of time taken to complete the set, and did i mention questions of a release date? I figured i should write just to show my deepest appreciation for Erich and Cubby for taking the time to undergo something this grueling for all of us. So thank you guys for personally making this game worth the price, without a roster set the game goes unplayed.
Im looking forward to the upcoming improvements of the set, as the first version has really impressed me. Can't wait for the salaries to be fixed most of all. But again....thanks for the hard work fella's....and keep up the great work. |

One more thing guys.....since the ratings are low, wont that allow drafted players who have a potential in the 90's to dominate?
wont the draft produce players whose potential ceiling is much higher than most of the top players in your set? |
