Erubiel Durazo
Erubiel Durazo played only seven seasons in the major leagues, rarely getting consistent playing time but with a lifetime OPS+ of 123, he certainly produced at the plate when given the chance, showing good power and hitting over .320 twice.. During the Arizona Diamondbacks' run to the World Series in 2001, he belted a series-clinching home run against Atlanta's Tom Glavine in Game 5 of the 2001 NLCS, and was used as Arizona's designated hitter during the 2001 World Series games at New York. He finished the World Series hitting .364/.500/.455 in 14 PAs.

OK, so given the issues I mentioned to you I'll stick with some more AtHoL players as I want to do a thorough going-over of the Bucs save to see what's what before hitting you up with the Class of '09 because it looks a mess.
Here are some Baltimore Terrapins that need your mastery. Chuck Taylor 1969-76 Fred Smith 1890 Seunghwan Oh 2016-19 Harlin Pool 1934-35 Ron Jackson 1975-84 Delos Drake 1911-15 Glenn Chapman 1934 Fred Scherman 1969-76 Mike Goodfellow 1887-88 Ralph McLeod 1938 Thanks bud G |

Jack Blott
"Jack Blott's contributions to the University of Michigan as an athlete, as a coach, and as a staff member earned him a special place in Wolverine athletic lore." - from the book Michigan: Champions of the West
Jack Blott appeared in two games with the 1924 Cincinnati Reds. He was born in Girard, OH, near Youngstown, and attended Michigan at the same time as Charlie Gehringer. Jack immediately came to the majors at age 21, making it faster than his Hall of Fame schoolmate. After his two games, Jack decided he liked football better and became a long-time football coach. He worked at Ford Motor Company for a number of years and had other athletic department roles at Michigan. - bRef Bullpen wiki Had no facegen so made it from the two photos (student and asst. football coach). Note that there was no minor historical ID so used the ML historic ID. Last edited by LansdowneSt; 08-31-2021 at 11:24 PM. |

Joe P Wood
Little Joe Wood attended Rice University and broke into the majors during World War II. He played 60 games on the Detroit Tigers in 1943, doing quite well for a rookie. He hit .323 with 4 triples, although his range factors at second base and third base were low. He was released in 1946. - bRef Bullpen wiki

Johnny Ryan
Johnny Ryan played in the National Association from 1873 to 1875 mostly with the Baltimore Canaries and New Haven Elm Citys. Although he had hit under .200 in 1874 an 1875, he was able to become a regular with the 1876 Louisville Grays of the brand-new National League. Following his baseball career, Ryan was a Philadelphia police officer. He died when he was kicked by a prisoner after making an arrest following a barroom altercation. - bRef Bullpen wiki
Had no facegen so made this one. Used the bRef photo that had the mustache as it was a straight-on shot. There was no minor historical ID so used the import ID. |

Dane Iorg
In the 1982 World Series, Iorg played for the Cardinals, primarily as their World Series designated hitter and batted .529 with 9 hits in 17 at-bats as the Cardinals defeated the Milwaukee Brewers in seven games. The Cardinals later, to their regret, sold Iorg to the Kansas City Royals. That's because Iorg is best known for his game-winning hit in game 6 of the 1985 World Series as a member of the Kansas City Royals against his old team, St. Louis. - Wikipedia

Seung-hwan Oh
Seung-hwan Oh holds the Korea Baseball Organization record for saves in a year and career. He is an Olympic Gold Medalist and two-time Korean Series MVP. A star in the KBO and in his two years in Japan, he signed with the Cardinals in 2016. At the age of 33, his rookie year for the Cards was outstanding with 19 saves and a 1.92 ERA. He finished his MLB career with the Colorado Rockies before returning to the KBO in 2020. - bRef Bullpen wiki

Chuck Taylor
Chuck Taylor came up with the Cardinals in 1969, pitched well for a few seasons and then was traded to the Mets briefly. After a cup of coffee with Milwaukee, he landed in Montreal. When the Expos traded their bullpen ace, Mike Marshall after the season, it put Taylor in line to be one of his successors, and in fact 1974 was the best season of his major league career. He appeared in relief 61 times, posting a 2.17 ERA in 107 2/3 innings. He ranked ninth in the National League in games pitched, fifth in saves with 11 and sixth in games finished with 39. However, rookie Dale Murray had an outstanding second half for the Expos that season and took over as closer, keeping the job until the end of the 1976 season - Taylor's final one in the Majors.
Had previously done this one so no before picture. |

Action, When you get through the current season, try going to the Game facegen settings and updating it to refresh facegens "Every 1 January" and see if that gets in to pull in the new files. Otherwise, it only proactively updates facegens on team changes and, I think, some mood changes. Can't hurt and that will only impact the ones that have new files (if it works). Otherwise, should be no harm and you can toggle it off "Jan 1" once in the new year.

Ginger Shinault 1921
I'm not sure if you are in need of a clearer option for Shinault for the FaceGen, but this one was enhanced from a 1922 team composite.

So much for our great start. Three losses in a row drop us to third place.
(Sheriff Dane Anthony [6-18, 5.64 last year, I remind you] shut us out. 19-year-old Orestes Destrade [Cleveland's #4 draft in 1980] drove in 4 runs. Arrgh!) So we're not only behind the White Sox, but surprisingly, the Twins. Minnesota has benefited from Mickey Tettleton (#1 pick in 1980,8th overall) arriving to solidify the Landreaux/Hrbek/Castino axis (where does Gaetti play if Castino's still healthy?) and from Jose DeLeon (acquired in a trade two winters past) starting strongly, despite still not being able to find the plate. (110 walks at AA Orlando last year.) And from Paul Croft. IRL Croft was the Twins #1 draft pick in 1977, had strong years in A-Ball (.914 at Visalia in 1980) and then…started getting loaned out or something. 1981 was spent at Hagerstown (Orioles single-A), where he posted an .850 and stole 42 bases, and even while hitting .213 at Savannah (Braves AA) in 1982, he still hit 19 HR and had 49 walks, adding up to .755. But it was back to Hagerstown in 1983, where he was on fire for a month (1.081) and then…got injured, I guess, and was never seen again. Here he's hitting leadoff, flirting with .300, has a couple of HRs, and leads the league in SBs, 7 times uncaught. (Which is a lot better than the 24-18 tally he posted in a half-season up top last year.) All this despite being notably less "Caucasian" than advertised. (Could you point me towards that thread again? I've forgotten which one it is, sorry.) |

Still yet to get around to a deep dive on the '09 adds, but in the interim bud can you see if you've a Zaza Harvey or a Charlie Dexter floating around in your FGs. I searched this thread before asking, nada came up.
Also a couple rooks from my Bucs need some love when you get a sec: Rip Hagerman 1909-16 Louis Drucke 1909-12 Thank you G |
