[The Game]

End of Season report:


This was along fun season and it ended the way it was supposed to. While we still have the Galactic Series left and the awards need to be handed out, in which several of my players should win, I wanted to do the end of season report now while we have time to relax.


I made a lot of transactions this season to improve the team and I will continue to do so in the off season. We have many arbitration eligible players that will leave us with little $$ to re-sign bigger stars. I want to free us of some of those contracts to re-sign 1b Mighty Joe Young & Sp Christy Mathewson. Some big names could be traded this off season.


I love trilogies and winning our 3rd in a row is the end game. We have our last amateur draft in December. After that we are part of a shared draft and will draft very low in June 2037. We will have international scouting and an International Complex at our Rookie camp in Ackbar. We will add a new Single A team in the Gulf Coast League.We don't know which team we will have yet. Ackbar becomes the new Rookie league team.
I hope that Cf Tigris DeGaulle has a chance to make the 2037 OD roster and that any new faces we have will help us win the Battle of Endor in 2037.


Kool Kat led the Offense in WAR in the postseason


Christy Mathewson led the Pitching in WAR.


While Kendrick was great behind the plate, his CERA concerns me.


Young was great at 1b.


Eidsvag can play 4 positions and he may not be the starting 2b next season.


Kat is likely to win the 3b GG.


Tugger needs to improve at SS. I might try him at 2b, if Anna is not traded which would move her from Lf back to SS. She has great range but was error prone before.


Doubtful Anna will be in Lf next season.


Stefan did a good job in Cf for us.

Tarlac did really well in RF. If Tigris does not make the OD roster, he could be in Cf along with Stefan.

Anna had an off year this season and did poorly in the playoffs.She knows I will shop her around this year. If she is on the roster, I would like to move her to 2b or to SS.


P Pele Apela R/R #2
Pele could make the OD roster as a RP next season or be part of a trade package.


SS Rum Tum Tugger R/R #4
Rum had a bad year compared to his 2035 season. But the #'s he put up is about what I predicted him to do originally. He could be the starting 2b next season. He is not a good DP SS.


RP Pedro Nunez R/R #5
Pedro will have a bigger role in our pen next season. Could be a SU man.

Cf Tigris DeGaulle S/R #6
Tigris is still slated to be my OD f in 2037 even after his poor September. He will be a solid ML CF who can compete for a batting title and be a 25/25 guy. He also will be an ideal #2 hitter, eventually.


DH Majnun Humbert L/L #6
Humbert had a great season for us and he is insurance in case Young leaves or is traded after next season. defensively he wasn't terrible at 1b and will see more time there next season. About once a week.


RP Ricardo Ortiz R/R #7
Ortiz was both good and bad. High ERA, too many BB but good OPPAVG, low HR and good K. He will be MR again next season.


CL Robert Cooke L/L #8
Cooke was great after coming to us from Rocky Top. He is a FA and I have no plans on bringing him back.


IF Mercedes Benz R/R #9
Benz will never be a great hitter but I hope that she can hit .240 or better next year. She could see more time as a defensive replacement at SS & 2b next season but she need to hit.

SP Christy Mathewson R/R #10
Christy had a great season for us and set the record for Single Game K at 21. He was shoe in for the AL Screwball until Shohei Otani came on late and Christy struggled. I still think he or Draco should win it.


SP Tristan Nøkleby R/R #11
Tristan had a breakout season as a SP this year leading the AL in ERA. He is still slated to be the #3 next season. But if i acquire a LHP SP, he could be #4. He is an eventual ace.


RP Farani Nikolo R/L #12
Despite his great regular season #'s, Nikolo struggled in the postseason. He along with Bokovic & Evans will compete for the CL role in ST but it's Evans' to lose.


RP Jake Tomkins R/R #13
Jake stepped up big in the playoffs and will continue to be a MR next season.


RP Shane Jones R/R #15
Shane struggled with us. His future is uncertain.

OF Dusty Collier L/L #16
Dusty did not do great for us after coming over from LAS. He is slated to be the 4th OF but depending on what moves are made could be in a platoon in the corner spots.


RP Nenad Boskovic L/L #18
Nenad did great in teh regular season as a SU man. He struggled in the playoffs. He will compete for the CL role but will most liekly stay as the SU.


2b Duane Wise R/R #19
Wise was the BoE MVP. He stepped up big both against LHP & RHP. He is slated to be the 5th IF next year but will start at 2b at times.


SP Shohei Otani R/R #20
Shohei had a great season but a really good 2nd half. He will finish in the top 3 in AL Screwball Award voting, most likely 1st. If he wins it, he becomes my OD #1.Otherwise he is my #2.


2b/Rf Bilal Eidsvag R/R #22
Bilal is a very important player to me. He can play al 3 OF spots and play them effectively and he can play 2b, which is his worst position. He could be a platoon player or stay as the starting 2b. He is slated to be my leadoff hitter next season.

3b Kool Kat S/R #23
Kool had a great season and he should win the 3b GG again. He is a borderline MVP. He could win it next season.


Of Oddvar Duong R/L #25
Depending on what moves i make, Odd will either be the 5th OF or playing for a new team. He could be a solid platoon 4th OF.


Rf Dragon Tarlac S/L #25
Dragon had a solid rookie year but was bad vs LHP. He needs to improve or be stuck in a platoon. He might win the RF GG.


Cf Eugeniu Stefan R/R #27
Stefan did well for us after coming over from BRA. He will most likely be the OD LF or on the bench in a platoon. Heed needs around 130 SB to catch Nick Sullivan.


IF Kia Sephia S/R #28
Kia is blocked by Benz as they are both the same type of player but if Benz struggles to start the year, Kia could become a utility player.

SP Mario Ramos L/L #38
Mario finally established himself as my #5 SP. I plan to have him back in that role next season barring him being a part of a trade.


SP Walter Johnson R/R #45
Walter seems to be on a decline since he 1st came here. I do plan on trading him to save $$ and get a dominant LHP in the rotation.


Of Theo Fitzsimmons L/L #49
Theo had a great season at AAA but it's either bring him back and have him sit on the bench at AAA or trade him. I look for him to be part of the Johnson trade.


C Yogi Berra L/R #50
Yogi did great for us after coming over from SEA. I won't rule out bringing him back but he would be the back up to Kendrick.His leadership will be hard to replace.


SP Vincente Morales R/R #51
Vincente has reached the end of the line in his minor league career. He will be part of any trade package I do.

C Bob Kendrick R/R #53
Kendrick did great for us after coming over from POR. He is my OD starting C and I expect him to play 140 games in 2037 barring injury. He should hi around .265 30 HR and compete for a GG.


1b Mighty Joe Young R/R #72
Mighty Joe had an historic season for us. He should win his 2nd MVP and could win the 1b GG. I would like to sign him to along term deal either in 2037 or after next offseason. If he does not sign a long term deal, i will trade him but that at least a year away.


RP Rooster Evans R/R #74
Rooster did great in the SU role but will be asked to be the CL next season. It's his job to lose and he will have some competition in ST.


RP Emmanuele Ferzetti l/L #76
Ferzetti has talent but I think his best role is as a short MR not a spot starter or LR. No clue what the future for him holds right now. i am not against have 5 LHP on my 12 man staff.

Normal Cornbelters opted out of playing in the GAB Playoffs (I forgot to check playoff teams) So the Chicago Fire will take their place.


Admiral Fox is the majority Owner of the Chicago Fire & the minority Owner of the Delgado Tigers.


I was telling a Scoop Michaels a few weeks back that I have never seen the Fire play in person as our season coincide with each other and I have not had a chance to see them in the playoffs. So now I get to see how my $$ is being spent. I also plan on taking over as GM/MGR of the Fire after the 2040 season when I leave Delgado. I will manage them for 3-5 years then retire from that position then stay on as GM for a few more years then let someone else take over and stay as majority Owner. As it is I do not have a say on the day to day operations of the Fire. Jedi Master John Mace aka Immortal does that for me along with my wife, an Illini resident.

Yankees had a great season and they are still the Mighty New York Yankees.

GAB Wildcard Series Game 1 vs CHF W DEL Leads 1-0.


It was nice getting a chance to see Herrmann, Severide & Fei up close. Otani dominated and because of the cold 37 temps I pulled him early. Tomkins were was great in the EBL playoffs struggled but Ramos pitched well. Young had a 2 HR day & Kat also chipped in another. Kounikova had 2 SB & Stefan also got on.

GAB Wildcard Round Game @ CHF L Series tied at 1.


Flagg Park is a spacious park and while Johnson liked it, my offense did not. We struggled to get any lift on the ball despite the 56 temp.

Johnson pitched well but not great. Nikolo was fine in relief.

GAB Wildcard Round vs CHF W Del wins 2-1.


We like playing in our ballpark and we took this game a bit more seriously then we did Game 2. Because of the 35 temp I chose not to pitch Nøkleby too long. He gave me 4 innings. He gave up a lot of Hits & 2 ER. Boskovic did great in 3 IP. Evans & Ortiz also did well.


the Offense came on last when we were up 3-2 but Stefan hit a HR. Kat had a 2 HR game. Tarlac hit a HR.

NYY swept LAS 2-0


Delgado faces the NY Yankees. Yankees will host 2 of the 3 games but they will be played in Gran Stadium in Havana and the Tigers home game will be played at Soldier Field in Villa Park, WB. The warmer temps should help.


Clone Yogi Berra has played vs the NYY while in MLB.

Galactic Series Game 1 @ NYY L NYY Leads 1-0


The Yankees are a tough team. They have tons of speed and a great pen.We couldn't hit in Cuba at all. Otani scattered 7 H and gave up just 1 ER with 6 K. Nunez & Nikolo were great in relief.

Galactic Series Game 2 vs NYY W Series tied at 1.


We did much better in Soldier field then we did in Gran Stadium. Kat hit the only HR. Johnson, Apela & Tomkins struggled. boskovic, Evans & Cooke did great.

Galactic Series Game 3 @ NYY L NYY Wins the Series.


We havent had issues with a team like this in a long time. They hit my best pitchers and keep my best hitters from going deep. Congrats on winning the Galactic Series.


Kat hit a HR. Nøkleby was effective and I should have went with him for another inning. Nikolo & Ortiz both struggled. Nunez pitched well.

Yankees become the 1st Galactic Series Champions to have not won their leagues championship.
