Have to say without the dodgy refs and such it wouldn't be as much fun and such that's why I never want to see instant replays in football, plus add's a few posts onto the count

What I meant was, is that it's often been seen by a lot of people to be like that (including me).
From the 82 West Germany/Austria group game, to the Koreans "interesting" run to the semi-finals in 2002, FIFA IMO will do whatever it takes to get the most money out of the game. And the big teams bring more people to watch the game, unfortunately. Australia in the later rounds will get less viewers than Italy - it's as simple as that to the marketers at FIFA and the TV companies.
Expect Brazil to get decisions against Ghana tomorrow if they're struggling.

Chris Waddle by the way is going on a major rant about this - he's about to explode I think.
