Thanks for making that pick for me Sal..just got back. Perfect and thanks for putting up with all of us eggheads today Sal. I have let myself get miserably behind on the forums here in the last couple of weeks. I am back now and have a lot of catching up to do. Thanks for your patience and help Sal. I know that I said that Left Jab was gonna stand pat,but I just couldnt..LOL. Well, got Moorer,Moran and Gomez...lost McCrory and Maldonado(really hate that)so...we will see. I had hoped to contend this year...still may,but its looking like next season will be my season. I hope that I can just improve this year. Take care..Now Sal,about those guys you have for trade?

Juggernaut forfeits their draft pick.
Iceteaboxing is now on the clock. You have 5 minutes to make a selection. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxNovember 19, 2008 Lincoln NE, On August 22, Sal, commissioner of the UTBA II & owner/manager of the Nebraska Corn Jabbers, made a surprise statement and announced that he would step down as manager of the Jabbers. Sal stated several reasons for the move. Most important one he said was trying to split time between running the league and conducting workouts at the Jabber gym. "I could not give my full attention to both and do a good job. In the best interest of the league and the Jabber team, the best thing for me to do was to step down as manager of the Jabber's." The search for a replacement manager did not take long. Sal announced that Nebraska's own living legend Tom Osborne would step in and take full control of the Jabber squad. Tom led the the University of Nebraska's football program to greatness in the 90's, so maybe he can do the same for the boxing team. Osborne told the press he really didn't have much time to go into detail about his plans for the boxing team as he had to make quick preparations for an upcoming draft. Osborne did state that he had already met with the team and let them know what to expect from him. He also stated that he spoke with HW Tom Lees and BW Willie LaMorte in private after the team meeting. The discussion of the private meeting was to let both know that they would not be coming back to the Corn Jabbers for season two as Osborne would be looking for replacements for them in the draft. Osborne made the draft a good one as he replaced both Lees and LaMorte with two quality fighters. Osborne had to trade most of his second season draft choices to get the job done though. Earlier in the week, Osborne traded away his remaining draft pick for season two for a future pick after season three. He stated before you start yelling that I'm selling the farm to early, I told my team that there would be a no trade/no waiver rule for the Jabber team in season two. That's right Osborne stated, the 16 fighters you see on the Jabber roster right now, are here to stay for the entire season two schedule. Last edited by SAL; 11-20-2008 at 12:17 AM. |

It's a good day to be a "1" rated Middleweight. With only a couple of spots left in the draft, 3 of 4 of these guys got selected:
#39 Pick (by The Nobodies) - MW (1) Wilbert Johnson #41 Pick (by Brazilian Barbarians) - MW (1) Ed Goins #65 Pick (by MexiVilles) - MW (1) Humberto Rodriguez and that leaves... MW (1) Anthony Bryant ...all alone... |

gee run on low rated MWs
only one "1" and one "2" left -- get 'em while they're hot.
Bear is of course correct with the Victor McLaglen answer. |
