Should the box score list the position(s) played by a player in the game as opposed to their roster stated position? I am only referring to Even strength here. If a forward plays D for most of the game or vice versa, shouldn't that be indicated in the box score?

I just tried and the zone assignments seem to stay with what I change them to. Do you have anything set in the Gameplan to use a specific template? That would reset them.

It just shows the roster position. We can't track icetime by position at the moment.

Wasn't meaning to track ice time by position, just if a player is slotted to play right wing, but is normally a left wing, to put down RW as the position on the box score.

Might be possible to do it that way, but I seem to recall we had an issue with tracking positions like that when working on the GR system. I'll see if it can be done.

Nope, I don't use the gameplan as I prefer to set things by individual lines.

To clarify on what I mean, zone assignments stay in place if I keep my save open, but if I close FHM2 and then reload the save they have reverted back to the original positions.

Problem with 4 on 5 lines in game? By default the center is assigned the first position on a 4 on 5 line however its the second position that seems to take face offs. So you normally have wingers taking face offs on the team killing the penalty. Needless to say the team on the power play wins majority of face offs.

Strange, may be an issue with the way they're being saved. We'll check it out.

It should actually be using the player with the highest faceoff rating on the ice, regardless of position. If you see it doing otherwise, let me know.

Can't sign player because he is too young?
Just drafted Patrik Laine and it says he is too young to sign (he is 18 years old).
Help!

Simulate to July 1st of that same year and see if it's still an issue.

Did more testing with players taking face offs on penalty kill. The player in the second position on 4 on 5 line definitely takes face offs even though their face off rating is lower.

Also noticed Lucas Sbisa (Defense) take face off on penalty kill. Turns out forward that was supposed to be on penalty kill line was in the box so cpu put a defenseman (Sbisa) as a forward? I had 3 defenseman and 1 forward on the penalty kill line.

Yeah, the penalty killing line AI has been making some odd choices, we're looking into it. But the faceoff thing is new, we'll have to investigate that as well.
