Please pardon my intrusion. I only posted here to be the 10,000th reply to this thread. It looked so cool that I preserved it for posterity. Not that I deserve such an honor because I have never contributed a thing to the previous 500 pages of this thread, but you know what they say about being in the right place at the right time. Those are the breaks, sometimes you get lucky. Carry on and best wishes from a baseball fan.

Nah not a glory hunter, being top of page number 500 was enough for me lol. Just wanted some ideas to think over, couple that I've seen is sim a season and take over one of the teams promoted to either Conference North or South or another I've seen is become manager at Hibs in Scotland, break the Old Firm strangelhold and win the Scottish premiership, then try take an English team to the Premiership title and win a major trophy with an International team.

Another could be start unemployed then sim a season and take the first available job offered to me, I want full season one though and not one where you download a file.

Yhis might be a stuid question, but how could they serve you? Here, the esrablishment could, and often do, lose their liquor license for serving minors. And your lucky your parents didnt give you a good thrashing.

That being said, i'm fairly jealous.

Not many teams do have a youth academy you even look at the top teams I think Liverpool only started their youth academy something like 10 years ago at most, it's only recently when teams have had to pay £10 million for 18 year olds that they've realised how important youth academys are.

Also add the fact Dave Whelan is as tight as they come, he owns the rugby team in town and rumour as it that the youth players if they want to take extra training at the gym he owns they have to pay
Again, stupid question, but why dont they have top-flight workout equipment on site? Even a university like UCLA has exstensive workout facilities..pretty much what you would find in any professional sport.

FM 2007 is too slow? It could be the number of leagues you have added. Keep England only and add players from other nations only...or, for a master challenge, England pnly with no other players or nations added.

You know the worst thing about taking the best part of two months break? The first Monday back at work is absolute murder. It is most dispiriting to find your inbox still has a four figure number next to it even after you’ve deleted all the spam... I’ve hit online skive mode already

Anyway, a belated happy new year to you all.

You need to keep it in perspective; people only say that in a ‘it is better than a loss’ kind of way. Draw every single game of the season and you’ll be flirting with relegation. A point a game is a lousy return, and everyone knows at the end of the day avoiding defeat is vastly less important than winning games. The concept of a draw as a good result only comes into play when a win is no longer feasible, or in six pointers.

This is another of those perceptions dominating reality things imo. I’ve heard it on the radio yesterday with people saying where has it all gone wrong after last season, but as I pointed out back in August Wigan have been running at a point a game for over a year now. Last seasons position was earnt on the back of a great opening quarter while they were still in the winning habit post-promotion, and since then they’ve been on solid relegation candidate pace. Wigan have picked up 48 points from their last 50 EPL matches. This is a long term issue, and any significant problems with form, injury or suspension would always tip a club with that form right into the mire.

Dog & Partridge used to serve anyone long as you looked around 17-18, my local The Spinners was serving me when I was 16 and they knew how old I was, the landlady was my Aunite's best friend and one of the women who used to serve was my cousins best friend. Wigans a big place for clubs and bars, you get people coming for weekends, hen and stag nights and never heard of any club or bar even being fined for under age drinking let alone closed down.

Lack of depth in quality but most importantly lack of depth in the squad which also leads to players not fighting because they know their not going to get dropped.
