Jethro's middle name is actually Paul here, just so you know, jg2977. Thank you for posting Glasco's team report here, in any case, of course. CD out.

Hopefully Tanner Garber will have a MAJOR impact on Kenwood, once he arrives in 1884 for them, of course. I can't wait to see if Kenwood improves by at least ten or so games when he arrives, to play up the middle for them at multiple positions, and perhaps even pitcher, at that.
Looks like Holmes has been giving Freeman a bit of a run for his money, statistics-wise, at the very least. However, there's definitely one thing, at least, that Jeddy can't ever get away from Henry now, and that's his wife, seeing as Gordon and at least one of his brothers are actually alive now here, it seems to me, of course. At least according to the plan we currently have here in mind, jg2977, for all the relevant people here. CD out.

Glasco, Crystal Lake, South Fork, and Cape Coral, in the first round. I'm predicting a few surprises there. Glasco sweep, Crystal Lake in six or seven, South Fork in four or five, Cape Coral in seven.
Then Glasco and Cape Coral as league winners in the next round, if I'm correct enough with the first-round picks here. Glasco in six versus Crystal Lake, Cape Coral in seven against South Fork. Finally, Glasco in five or six versus Cape Coral, if I'm right about the Pro Cup participants, although that series may be closer than many may perhaps think, if so. Of course, any or all of these predictions here could be quite wrong, you know, jg2977. CD out.

I don't know why South Fork is so dominant - 125 wins? I really didn't do anything to help them, except for adding Jeddy Holmes a few years ago. Although having that many victories doesn't guarantee playoff success. Two years ago South Fork won 123 but lost in 5 games to Chicopee in the Divisional Round.

I am looking forward to this year's playoffs. I'll have to go with the two favorites - Glasco (119 wins) vs. South Fork (125 wins) in Pro Cup XIII. If those teams meet it will be anybody's to win, but South Fork will have a very slight edge due to home field advantage. I'll probably get started on the playoffs either tonight or tomorrow morning. Can't count out Colfax - they are the current IPA champs and had a very strong season with 112 wins. Also, Chicopee, the surprising 1881 Pro Cup champions, will have the opportunity to make some noise as they also won 112.
We have two playoff newcomers - Eastshore and Luxora, but their chances to pull off upsets the Celtics and Stallions are very unlikely. I just noticed that Micah Davis, Glasco pitcher, went a perfect 20-0 this past season. And he's listed as their #3 starter! The IPA journalists are seeding the 8 playoff teams as follows: 1: South Fork 2: Glasco 3: Colfax 4: Chicopee 5: Cape Coral 6: Crystal Lake 7: Eastshore 8: Luxora Last edited by jg2977; 08-19-2022 at 11:47 AM. |

I can't wait to see what else Jethro Paul Morse can do in his career, in truth. Hopefully he'll have a great one, of course, jg2977. CD out.
