BILLY ELLIOTT FW
Hometown - Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Born - Canning Town, England, UK 20(8)-25-6; 3 NC The British born Elliott never boxed in England. He began his career in New Zealand where he took the New Zealand Featherweight Title with a 15 round decision over James Godfrey in only his second pro bout. In 1910, Elliott strung together seven consecutive wins that culminated with his 20 round decision over Joe Russell for the Australian Title. Elliott lost the title in a rematch two months later. The only notable fight for Billy Elliott after 1910 was a 13th round TKO to South African Watty Austin in 1913. Over 54 pro bouts, Elliott was stopped eight times.

JIM DONALD FLY
Hometown, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia 0-2-0 Donald had two pro bouts, both were losing efforts. In 1908, he fought Sid Sullivan for the Australian Featherweight Title and in 1920 he fought George Mendies for the State Flyweight belt. I would assume that he had a substantial amature or exhibition career to merritt these title bouts.

YOSHINORI "Jimmy" SAKAMOTO FW
Hometown - Seattle, Washington, USA 3(2)-6-0 Sakamoto learned Judo as a boy in Seattle and took up boxing while attending Princeton in New Jeresy. He suffered detached retinas following his fight with Clark Anderson which would eventualy leave Sakamoto blind. He turned to writing and became the editor of the Japanese-American Courier where he quickly became a leader in the Japanese community. During World War II he was very oukspoken that second and third generation Japanese in America needed to demonstrate their loyalty to the US government. He even encouraged Japanese Americans to willingly and efficiently comply with the government's relocation plans. As a result, he was greatly resented by the community and never regained his place as a leader. He died crossing a Seattle street when he was struck by a car on December 3, 1955.
