Draft Order Finalized

I did the draft lottery over lunch and can now announce the sequence of picks. I'm proud to announce that the #1 overall pick goes to...

...the Treasure Valley Stars! So blueturf should submit to me a $180 pitcher/$240 hitter and a $130 pitcher/$170 hitter.

Here are the rest of the picks:

#2 - Racine/Jestor (he appears to be banned from the forum at the moment)
#3 - Pittsfield/congobeast
#4 - Cooperstown/Matt from TN
#5 - Utica/[zombie team]
#6 - Atlantic City/metsgeek
#7 - Fontana/LivnLegend
#8 - Worcester/Vris
#9-14 - all the rest (order doesn't matter, creation rules are the same)

Please PM or post here your new players, by the end of the week. Thanks!

Since Player Creation is buried in another thread, I thought I'd make it easier for everyone and copy it over here. Elendil's rule changes are Highlighted in ORANGE.

At least 20 hitters must be created, and no more than 24. Create 35 players in total. At least 5 hitters must have speed 50 or higher. At least 14 players must play no more than 1 position.)

Contact - $1 per point
Gap Power - $0.80 per point
Homerun Power - $1 per point
Eye - $1 per point
Avoid K - $0.50 per point

Skills:

Speed (1-100) - $0.50 per point
Stealing (1-100) - $0.50 per point
(Running instincts will be the average of Speed and Stealing; you don't need to pay for it.)

Sac Bunt (1-5) - $2 per point above 1 ($2 for 2 rating, and so on)

Bunt for Hit - determined by the relationship between speed and sac bunt (81+ speed increases bunt for hit +1 over bunt skill, 61-80 speed makes bunt for hit equal bunt skill, 41-60 speed makes bunt for hit -1 under bunt skill, 21-40 speed makes bunt for hit -2 under bunt skill, 1-20 speed makes bunt for hit equal 1 no matter what bunting skill is)

Range/Catcher Arm (1-100) - $0.50 per point for primary positions for speed 1-60, $0.40 per point for speed 61-80, $0.25 per point for speed 81-100 (the speed bonus does not apply to catcher arm) (you may then choose secondary positions with this range penalty: -10% off range of first position for second position, -15% off range of second position for third position, -30% off range of third position for all other positions - only 2 players may be created with both infield and outfield positions)

Fielding % - $3 per point on a 0-4 scale; this scale is interpreted as follows for each position:
Code:
Position 4 points 3 points 2 points 1 point 0 points
Catcher .995,6 PB .988,10 PB .981,14 PB .974,18 PB .967, 22 PB

Rightfield .982 .973 .964 .955 .946
Arm - standardized by primary position in IF or OF (RF - 90, CF - 55, LF - 30, 3B - 90, SS - 60, 2B - 30, 1B - 15, P - 95 (infield))

One question: Is the draft straight or serpentine? Or does the second round revert to reverse order of standings?

I have the 6th pick in the first round, but I don't know if I have the 20th, 23rd or 25th pick, and since the amount of $$ goes down after #20, I'll need to know.

Thanks for reposting the creation guidelines, metsgeek; I was thinking of bumping the thread, but it's better to have them in this thread too.

Yeah, the draft is serpentine, so you'd have picks #6 and #23.

Elendil, do you need someone to cover Jestor's team? If so, I'd be happy to step up to the plate.

I had to edit my first pick, because I was cheating myself out of points.
