I work right there. I see the circle everyday.

Yes I do. It takes me about 1 minute to get there from here at work. It has been used as a backdrop for many movies throughout the years, including "That Thing You Do".

it's really too bad that, having missed the original thread referred to in this one, and having gone back and read it and remembered that I had the same problem, that my question/suggestion in said thread has since gone ignored.

It's like wondering why your goldfish died when you hadn't fed it in three weeks.

This reminds me of the recognized original use of the phrase "nah don't like that".

Question Cried Trying

Well Boys,

I have tried everything that was suggested by those (not ALL) of you who gave me relevent suggestions. Unfortunately, no luck.

Also, as Markus suggested, I submitted my League .dat files to him and apparently he was able to sim without a hitch. So he suggested updating DirectX and video drivers (did it), turn off sound (did it), turn of 3D (did it), set to OOTP Browser (did it) ... damn near cried when the game died immediately upon clicking 'sim' !

I almost felt a glimmer of hope there...

Any other suggestion are welcome.

Sincerely,

Paul

Well that's frustrating even to hear. I'm no PC Tech and unfamiliar with the game's engine process, but the fact that another user (in this case Markus) had success using your .dat file certainly points to something user/location specific.

What I'm wondering (for those of you who know operating systems) is whether there is any kind of .log - like the bootlog for specific program operation where the sequence and order of processing could be examined to determine at which point - command-related - (not just the fact it's when SIM is selected) the function breaks down. Is there such a record, or could any sort of script be created to record the processing?

And the thought crossed my mind that somewhere in that sim-selection the mouse click or some oddity like that may trigger an IRQ interruption or such. I remember having a problem awhile back with another game that everything was fine until I actually clicked with the mouse or pushed a controller button. Certainly a remote relationship, but looking into all the corners.

Hey Legs,

I have the same problem from time to time. Go into your OOTP 6 folder and uninstall the game. Then reinstall and it should work. Or at least it does for me. Let me know if this works.

If you have access to a 2d computer, install the game and league there and see what happens.

Try downloading the OOTP6 file again, then use that one.
Good luck.

Legs,

I was having the same problem. Uninstall and reinstall (it won't delete any files you have made). Works for me.

Legs,

I'm sorry to keep typing this, but I'd like a response to see if your problem is the same I'm having. Did you uninstall and reinstall?

Legs,
If you tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that did not work, try downloading the OOTP6 file again, then uninstall and reinstall using the newly downloaded file (if you have not already tried this). It worked for me in the past when I had a similar problem with a different game. Good luck.
