The Dolls lost a close one 4-5 to the Knickerbockers on August 22, won 7-4 on the 23rd, and lost 4-6 on the 24th.

The Dolls had a good series following that not so good one against the Knicks, as we swept the Seals in San Francisco.

Our final series for the month of August will be against the Toronto Noot-Noots at home (plus one game against the Hartford Dancing Mice on the 31st but that series extends into September).

The Dolls got blanked 0-3 against the Mice in the first game but beat them in the second and third games, ultimately knocking the Mice out of any possibility of making the playoffs.

The Dolls were in Dalton, Pennsylvania this week after a day off on the 16th. They won 2 of the 3 games of the series and ruined the Freaks' chances of making the playoffs.

Well, good news: we swept the Babies..... Bad news: Robert Smith has been injured for 9 to 10 months with 1 series left to go in the regular season before playoffs begin. I really really hope we don't choke with all this going on now.

WELLLLLLLLL...... that's it for the regular season folks! We swept the Cottontails but Siouxsie got hurt AGAIN, and will have to miss about 6 weeks according to team trainers.

Let's hope that we can actually do something in the playoffs. Particularly against the Bobbies and Larry Corcoran, who finished the regular season with a W/L ratio of 75 wins and 11 losses.

Our guy, Joe Wood also has 75 wins but 15 losses. A very wonderful historic accomplishment nonetheless.

DESPITE ALL THE INJURIES WE SOMEHOW MANAGED TO COME THROUGH AND WIN IT ALL!!!!!!!

THE MILFORD OLD DOLLS ARE THE FIRST EVER CHAMPIONS OF THE PLAYHOUSE LEAGUE!!!!!!!!

Our guy Robert Hassell really came through for us and was named WS MVP!

There will be a great celebration among the people of our small town as we pushed the big city jerks out, battled through it all and still came out on top!

The offseason will be quite stressful and chaotic but for now the talented players of our ball club can rest and hopefully recover from whatever maladies may be affecting them.

Siouxsie opted out of her contract and wants to test free agency and also the league will be expanding with 2 new teams! I will post an update when I decide who they will be!

The Playhouse League officials have decided on the new teams that will be competing as new members for the 1838 season. They are the Atlanta Blackbirds, based in Georgia and the Mystic Sailors, based in Connecticut. Atlanta will be a Goliath League team and Mystic will be in the David League. The expansion draft will take place in coming days.
