Lions beat the Chiefs, and the Seahawks beat the Lions. So the Seahawks are better than the Chiefs right?

The Titans were in New York .

Wow, the Cardinals fell asleep at halftime. The Athletic had an interim headline up there: "Giants outscored 60-0 through 6 quarters." How do you let the peewees back in the game like that?

Or you treat negative comments on social media for what they are: hot air trash talk that means precisely nothing. Pay it no mind and give it no credence.

We would need to clearly define what constitutes a threat. Some comments would obviously qualify, but others are more nebulous. Saying, for example, "I hope you get hit by a truck" would be classified as a threat by some, although I would say it is not (it's a statement of ill-will but not a threat).

You're thinking only legal consequences. There are other effects resulting from cause that could take place.

Only if one gives social media comments credence. Better than 99.9% of such comments are trash talk, nothing more.

I don't call racist insults trash talk at all. Attacking someone on social media unprovoked isn't trash talk. It's harassment. It's not free speech. Its verbal assault. It should be outed & punished.

Any hit on the QB can be called roughing the passer. It's up to the individual ref.

I understand the hitting low part. But you are allowed to hit him low if you are being knocked, or in this case, dragged to the ground by offensive holding.

A brain-dead level non-call to essentially end the Browns/Steelers game. While it's debatable whether the pass was catchable, the ref did not indicate that the ball was uncatchable, so his PI non-call was essentially saying that he did not notice the mauling of the Browns receiver.

This was Angel Hernandez, or any NBA ref, type of incompetence.

But for what though? Relevant people are held to a higher standard. Your average Joe working at a 7/11 cannot be hurt no matter what happens.

What resources would you dedicate to call these bums out? Plus there's always the question as to who is actually behind the keyboard.

My understanding is that you are not allowed, regardless of the situation. The reason I say this is because of what I heard from a referee. You know the ref the commentators go to during the game on occasion? He said it was the defender's responsibility to not let it happen.

I have little respect for the rules committee. I have even less respect for the refs concerning personal fouls. They might have a 50% success rate. That sucks. Most people would be fired (not including meteorologists) from their jobs.

Are you a Steelers fan? Because I didn't see any PI there.
