As most real-life trades involve some sort of lottery protection for first round picks nowadays, I would suggest adding an option for this. Hope it's not too complicated.

Not sure if this is where FHM9 suggestions go, and if this has been said before, but one thing I'd like to see is to have the ability in custom games to actually *control* which countries produce players, or at the very least know how to get that going. Right now it's a guessing game as to playing with the numbers in the Nation Editor, and it can get frustrating.

Not a suggestion but a request, PLEASE put the goalie stats back where they were on the pregame screen.

They were replaced by the utterly pointless player cards last time - that goalie information was actually useful and served a purpose.

I agree, I found this pretty useful in FHM7, it would be great to have it back

Yup, I guess they'll persist with the player cards (pointless feature imo) but hopefully they'll find a way to include the goalie stats again.

I don't see why we can't have both. Surely it doesn't have to be only one or the other.

They need to fix the logo's for minor league teams instead of using these default logos/ especially in the farm teams for AHL and ECHL. Why can't they do this? they do it fine in OOTP. Historical teams as well.

The facial/jersey recognition is also awful after trades or FA signings or bringing up prospects. again, this isn't a problem in OOTP, why is it here? If i play a team for several years, they have all different jerseys becasue it wont update wheb you load a saved game

I assume this is due to licensing issues. Just use a logo pack to fix this

Yeah but it does the same for importing NHL historical teams. There should be no licensing issues for adding logos for Quebec or Hartford or Atlanta or other past teams. Same with WHA Teams

Also need a way to relocate existing teams to different cities easily, while keeping existing players and their stats the way OOTP does.

But those logos are still licenced by the current teams. (Avalanche, 'canes and Flames)

Enable commissioner mode, go into the team's edit screen and change the city, name, arena, etc.... Voila.

It's been said multiple times that the engine is different from OOTP, so the comparison between both games can't be made. We can ask and hope for them to add similar features, but it's not as simple as "just import this from OOTP".

Yeah but all that does is creates a new team basically.it does not carry over team historical data, records or stats from the previous team the way it does in OOTP

Very good point. So many people migrate over from OOTP and expect the game functions to be almost identical. Same developer so game features must be interchangeable, right?

This is correct. We have all the NHL logos because we are licensed the the NHL has never let any logo rights lapse. Even when (for instance) Arizona gave up the Winnipeg logo, the NHL quickly snapped it up and held it until True North bought them back.

The short answer is; League Licenses cost money. Significant amounts of money. While it's not overly convenient for some people, it's very easy to install a Mod to change the logos yourself, which is why we made sure to make it that way.

Our dedicated community of Modders have done a great job on that front.

I've done it many times and always maintained all that info. The only glitch I've noticed is when you go back to look at a previous season/playoffs, the old logo is replaced by the new one.
