This was brought up for "stats only", which is the only way I play the game. That's a topic for a whole other discussion, but I like it personally. I'm using 2/65/22/11 this time around. I always enjoy reading about a topic like this, as I find it interesting, with the different ways folks play the game. There really is no right or wrong way, it's just what works for you.
In my latest universe, as I always do, I sim 5-7 seasons, and then take over an expansion team, but this time, playing out each game(one pitch), and see how really smart/dumb I am as a manager. I've tinkered with this in the past, but eventually started simming a week at a time. I'm going to try and hang in there this time as long as I can.
This post below is a bit off the subject, but I find myself referring to it, as the original poster(and some others) have done some extensive testing on various parts of the game. A couple years old now but still a decent read.
