That said, I'll never eliminate the chance of a major injury to a durable player completely. The guys with long iron man streaks are durable, but nobody's immune to a broken bone. |

Any chance an update will allow adding a league in a svaed game for FHM7?? I misread some details and took ''Add League'' as being able to do it on 1 July ... Think the button should say ''New League'' .. then information would be less misconceiving.

No, adding leagues mid-game would be a very large and complicated project; it requires a significant amount of coding to make the WHA addition work properly in historical mode without breaking the game. Not something that could be done in an update.

Is it possible to have a custom league with custom players that I have created and have an initial draft? I'm trying to find the best way to do this. Would I also have to go in and delete the unwanted players?

The easiest way would be to create a custom game with an initial draft and then just rename/customize generated players I think.

Do AI teams offer trades which include salary being retained now?
I remember when the retain option was introduced for FHM6, we were told that it would only available to human players at first. |

Any Chance to add a feature to have Generic,Non Playable Leagues for Custom Play,So the Players that aren't in a playable League will have a chance to get statistics?

I'm going to be working on something like that for historical for 8, so that may turn into a way of doing it in custom games as well - but there are some additional complications because the format of a user's custom game setup isn't as predictable as a historical game, and the custom nonplayable league design would have to take that into account.

Quick question, I'm sure it's been asked before but I can't remember the answer: What's the lowest fitness percentage you should start a player with? 70% is the cut off number I have in my mind.

Yeah, that's in the right ballpark, I try to keep it above 80 but into the 70's if necessary.

Do assitant coaches who aren't assigned a task (offence coach, trainer, etc) still contribute to training?

Yes, the top three assistant coaches with the highest score in a ratings category all contribute to the coaching bonus. The listed coach for that task just gets a higher weighting (as does the head coach.)

After using "End Negotiations" with a player I'm noticing that they now respond with "Sorry, I'm not interested" when I try to offer a new contract. Will that go away with time or am I now forced to trade the player?

By "Ending Negotiations" you told the player you're not interested in signing him, so he takes that a little personal. It can go away in a while, but it may not as well. Monitor it and make a decision later.

Great game. Appreciate the progress.
So I saw in your video you added an injury slider. That's great but I don't think injury frequency was ever an issue. I just assume you base injury frequency on historical data and therefore I have zero interest in adjusting that. I often go weeks without an injury. What isn't based on historical data (and the biggest hinderance to historical play in my view) is durable players getting injured for 4 to 8 months over and over and over and over. I l almost expect now, when I see a 7 month injury in the news feed, to click on the player and see his injury profile half white. So today I was running 1971-72. First week, Guy Charron 7 months, Ross Lonsberry 4 months. Look at their ratings? I have no problem when my Mario Lemieux or Peter Forsberg of Bobby Orr have season ending injuries. I know it will happen eventually. I'm talking about unrealistic injuries. Give a durable player a max 2 weeks, not 8 months. If you say it COULD have happened then I guess Joel Quenneville COULD have scored 80 goals one season. I don't see the difference. They are both historically inaccurate. Hope this is helpful. Keep up the good work. |
