1 team with a Perfect Ring, 2 teams to go.

One team is REALLY close, they've won 110 games the last 2 years.

The other won over 100 games 7 years in a row but haven't in 6 years which is odd because I added Perfect Gooden and Cone, but then my hitting fell in the tank every year. Had 95 win last two years but couldn't make the playoffs. This is the team I love with Gooden and Seaver and great defense.

He's my 4 or 5. Perfect Kershaw/Waddell/Walsh and 99 Caruthers. Moved 98 Blue to closer and he has been lights out.

The team I really like just pulled a perfect Bonds after winning a tournament. Is he a game changer or should I sell for mid 6 figures? This is the team that has issues hitting and I think looking at the card he can get on base, but average may be an issue.

That is a decent card. Not sure how much of a game changer he is for your team. I think you can get 3 high contact defensive players for him to improve your team overall?

The 'Glou have 99OVR Bonds, who is pretty similar to perfect Bonds in contact and eye vs RHP (90 & 99). He DHs vs RHP, rarely starts against LHP.

Here is his average slash-line & OPS+ across the 10 1/2 seasons he's been on the team: .258/.364/.428, 119. So, yes, good at getting on-base but doesn't often slug enough near what he should for 98 power vs RHP, imo.

In fact, I've been considering replacing him with SE 1B Dick Allen, who is a monster against LHP and okay as a backup against RHP. Problem is I'd lose a LHB on the active roster if I do so. I was thinking of replacing live Trout and moving SE Cedeno to start everyday at CF but I'm not sure I'm willing to lose Trout's defense, especially as I recently moved SE Appling to everyday 2B. A big offensive upgrade on SE Stirnweiss but a big defensive downgrade. In the 2 1/2 seasons since doing that my team ERA has risen by .16-19. I have been playing in stronger leagues the last couple weeks but still, that's a bit of a jump, especially as I have also improved my pitching over that time.

It's good to still have things to think about

The Clippers, my only perfect title team, just added perfect Norm Cash who replaces Sisler at 1B. Can do nothing but help. The year after I won I lost game 7 in the league finals and this year will win 110-115 again.

Cash is a beast against RHP. I start him against LHP too and he holds his own. He's in his 11th season for me and his average slash-line is .293/.387/.464 across 155 games. OPS+ 135.

I dropped Trout to reserves this year and moved Cedeno to everyday CF, and brought Allen up to play 1B against LHP. Just a one season deal for Allen, though, as I finished the Phillies mission set and SE Ashburn will come into the team next year to play CF. I could straight swap Ashburn with Cedeno but Cedeno's a decent defender in the outfield corners and hits LHP well, so I figure I'll get more use out of him than Allen who can play 3B and LF/RF but only poorly so is pretty much an exclusive LHP lineup guy.

Anyway, after nearly one season (small sample size and in a weak league), I'm still leading the league in walks without Trout but have a team BA of .283 instead of .263.

There'll be one other change to the team next season. SE Scioscia will be replaced by SE Pudge to preserve the amount of LHB/RHB in my lineup against RHP. Means I'll probably hit Ashburn at 9 and Pudge at 8.

Zach Wheat hit a walk off in game 5 and the Clippers have won 2 out of 3 Perfect Championships.

This lineup is pretty loaded now, IMO. Just an on-base machine and I lead in steals every year. I can deal with being 6-10 in HR.

Definitely an imposing lineup!

I went 118-44 (pythag 127-35) but got turfed out in the division series by the wildcard.

Just pulled perfect Clemens from some tournament packs. I've put him at 4 in my rotation, behind peak Pedro, perfect Johnson and SE Walsh. Rixey moves to the pen and Di Pino to reserves. Smoltz stays at 5 even though I rate Rixey ahead of him because Rixey will give me great value in the bullpen.

The Glou have done well pulling starting pitching. Peak Pedro, Johnson, Rixey, and now Clemens. Also pulled perfect Sutter 3 weeks ago.
