Season's Best Fielders Selected by AL:

Making the play is the mark of great defenders. Spearing a liner, diving in the hole or crashing headlong into the wall makes no difference to these awe-inspiring fielders. Magicians they sometimes appear to be, showing up out of nowhere to rob a batter of a hit and to turn a hit into an out. Pitchers love 'em and batters curse 'em. These defensive wizards will collect their 2025 American League Gold Glove Awards tonight:

Pitcher
Frank Birkholz (Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders)

Catcher
Doc Edwards (Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders)

First Baseman
Jeff Durst (Southern Miss Golden Eagles)

Second Baseman
Joe Nesselrotte (Florida International Panthers)

Third Baseman
Edgar Ornelas (Mississippi State Bulldogs)

Shortstop
Phil Rizzuto (Florida Atlantic Owls)

Left Fielder
Gilberto Osorio (San Diego State Aztecs)

Center Fielder
Jon Reynoso (Texas Longhorns)

Right Fielder
Carlos Hernandez (Portland State Vikings)
