Unless I'm just bad at doing my part, I've got some really inconsistent players. Just under .500 with 3 diamond, 2 gold, ~6 silvers. Also interesting to see some guys that performed excellently in the placement round that can't hit the broadside of a barn this season. I'd almost prefer to pay no attention to card ratings/colors at all when making my team.

After a 14-7 when I first got home yesterday, I have gone 13-13 since then. 27-20 is still good for 2nd place in my division, but I'm 5 games out now.
I'm hoping my hitting comes around. Ichiro, who I picked up late last night is hitting .210 and Roy Campanella is hitting .173. Thankfully, I'm 1st in the league in Starter ERA and 2nd in runs allowed. My bullpen stinks though with Josh Hader and Jeurys Familia completely falling apart. |

Most likely he pulled a perfect card, and auto sold it either for 50k PP (or if the change is in place now 20k PP) and then bought a ton of packs.

I had a good run for most of the month of May and even briefly shared first place in my division. but I ended the month on a 4 game skid.
If my offense does not wake up I will continue to to have issues. I feel like i have good players but many of them just are not producing. My 2 silver catchers especially are bad. They have a combined .162 average I don't have much that I can do except that hope that my offense can come alive tomorrow. |

Two months in, I'm 31-23, one game out of first place in my division, and lead my conference in run differential at +52. Not bad considering the player acquisition situation so far... I opened three packs today, and got a total of one silver player (a reliever, no less.) Lot of bronze ones, but none good enough to be promoted to the active roster. I had to spend several hundred PP on relievers in April because my bullpen was logging a 6+ ERA.
I'm leading the conference in scoring, average, and OBP. My best player so far has been, unsurprisingly, my only gold player, Future Star Royce Lewis, who's posted a .939 OBP and is on pace to finish the season with 8.1 WAR. His fellow prospect Alex Verdugo was May's Batter of the Month, and he's one of four players projected in the 4-6 WAR range. (Five if you count DH/leadoff specialist Topsy Hartsel, who I added before May. Hartsel's on-base percentage is over .430, and he's made it to 0.7 WAR in one month.) My biggest lineup need is a third baseman to replace Craig Grebeck, who's been disappointing on offense and defense. (My team's defense was better in May than April, but we're still 14th in the conference.) I'm also looking closely at Wil Myers, who's doing fine, but his .834 OBP seems like an overachievement, and who could be replaced easily if he slips. Pitching is probably a bigger concern... I'm 11th in the league in ERA, which probably translates to middle of the pack given my defensive struggles. Rich Hill and Sam Jones are 1-2 in the league in strikeouts, but their lack of control and tendency to give up home runs means neither is a true ace. I'm fine with both of them as starters, as well as David Cone and Hyun-Jin Ryu, but no. 5 starter Bob Turley has allowed 39 walks in 47 innings, and I'd like to save up and replace him with a no. 1 starter. (You know, or spend 3000 PP on Zach Britton and a bunch of roster filler again. Some guys have all the luck. I'm not among them.) |

Grabbled up a whooping 200 PP overnight while getting smacked in the kisser incessantly. 21-32 and falling. Screw the gold pack, I'm not getting it.
(buys three standard packs) The mentality here is that it can't possibly get much worse. (bells of doom are ringing in the distance) Alrighty. (opens packs) Okay, we have some mild relief help in the first pack with Victor Arano (68), and more pitching in the second pack with Carl Willis (71) and Rick Porcello (69). My staff was bad enough that those should really be able to lift us up a bit. But I like the third pack best:

With 2 golds (Glavine and Kela), 6 silver, and the rest copper we are leading my division with a 38-17 record, and have the rest record in the league. Still waiting for the bottom to fall out.

I woke up this morning at 38-18 and still leading my division. I am second overall in the league to a team with similar talent overall. When looking at the teams in the league I see teams with what looks like better cards than our two teams doing poorly and I see other division leaders in the league with teams with what appears to be much lesser talent than teams they are leading. The season is about a third over so it convinces me that managing your team matters. Little things like which stadium fits your talent could be bigly. The best thing is I believe we are almost all having a great time.
Edited for a typo

I set up my team a few days ago and didn't check back until last night. I honestly thought my team was awful, but I was pleasantly surprised to be 24-19 in second place. I had enough points to buy a couple packs, which got me Warren Spahn (92) and Manny Machado (89). I quickly lost 4 of 6 after getting them, but I expect to see a much better record when I check back tonight.

my team slightly above .500 now, but my team seems to be very good at helping other teams get PP
when I win its usually close games 8-6 or 5-3. when I lose, some are close, but its just as often a blowout. I think I gave up 20+ runs in a game or two thus far enjoying this thing more than I thought I would originally though. it feels kinda like half baseball card collecting/trading (which I like) and half fantasy football (which I hate) but I don't hate the fantasy part of perfect team for some reason |

26-28. Playing below our Pythag and losing a lot of 1 run games. So far my bats have only woken up for homers. Opened a few packs this morning that gave me Damon to throw into the OF mix. I've found myself replacing the back end of the rotation with lower rated pitchers that I feel will perform better.

on June 1st my boys are 35-20 atop the division and I think I have some easy Ws in the all star voting categories where other players are lacking

The games do not kick off until 8:00 am my time, which is when I report to work and they end at midnight my time which is right about when I head to bed, so luckily I don't have to wake up early to check it.

I'm in the middle of the strangest season ever. My team is in first place at 37-23. I did not try to fit my roster to some insane ballpark dimensions. I didn't change the dimensions.
They are 26-5 at home and 11-18 on the road. I've never seen a team with that kind of split. They're also -4 pythag and 0-6 in extra innings. |
