The game vs the Reds was rained out. Tomorrow is now a double-header.

The Pirates were idle.

We claimed Bob Rhoads off waivers from the Beaneaters. He is assigned to AAA.

Phil Dunn was named NL Player of the Week!

Edward Foley (Portland) was named Player of the Week for his A league.

Vic Willis of the Browns won for the AL.

Brooklyn held at #2 (behind the Senators) on the Weekly Power Rankings.

Big Jeff Pfeffer was too much for the Superbas, on both sides of the game. He pitched well and hit a 3-run triple to get the Reds a win over Brooklyn 8-3.

WP - Big Jeff Pfeffer (4-3)
LP - Cy Young (7-6)

Record - 20-13

The Superbas slipped a half game behind the Pirates.

It wasn't Eddie Plank's best game, but he did enough to get the 4-3 win over the Reds in the second half of the double-header.

The wheels came off when Cy Young was forced to leave the game. His strained oblique isn't serious but he may need to take a few days off.

The first game of a double header vs the Giants looked to be a tight game as they went into the 10th tied 3-3. The Giants hitters unloaded on Frank Corridon in in relief, scoring 8 times in the inning, beating the Superbas 11-3.

WP - Barney Pelty (3-7)
