Yeah, I used to go through quite a bit on each patch, but now it's a relatively painless procedure: download the patch, delete my oldskin.bin, rename skin.bin oldskin.bin, copy and paste my Database folder into the OOTP16 directory, copy and paste my two custom FA uniform/cap files, and restart. All my unique backgrounds, icons, etc...stick just fine.

On a note addressing an earlier concern, though, I still have occasional problems with uniforms showing up default instead of custom, primarily in my COL and HS leagues, but not prevalent, just happens. Annoying though. I have an existing bug report- and have had it for some time -but it doesn't seem fully resolved IMHO.

If the commish is on the old patch, and you export your team with the new patch, it should work. But if the commish is on the new patch, you will not be able to load the league with the old version.

For you statfreak.. I'm unsure what the issue is... the black boxes were a product of some file from the last patch that those of us with custom images had to download the new skins, then add our custom pics and then rebuild the skin.bin file.

Look through the previous patch thread and someone posted a fix (Deja Bru) for the black boxes.

Some support for David Limbaugh.

All I did was click the "Coaches from the United States" tab. It happened every time in subsequent tests.

This is a fresh installation of 16.7.33 on a Windows 8.1 laptop.

You're welcome. Pardon me while I jump over your post to continue with this coaching problem. It seems to be anything to do with coaching, as you can see below. My league is in 1901, and I recall a reference to "early leagues" in regard to this issue. However, I have not edited any coaches whatsoever, unlike David. This is a brand new league with a fresh install of 16.7.33. Now, like David, all I can do is wait for Monday and hope for the best because I am stuck, dead in the water.

I found a 'workaround' that works for me while we wait for the patch.

I turned financials back on, set levels to 2014, then turned financials back off.

Voila! I am back in business. My guess is coaches were not happy with their pay at the turn of the century.

And I just threw together a 2015 fictional league and had no problems with coaches. So it's not my game installation or my league, it's this darned patch and my habit of starting an MLB quasi-historical, fictional-player league in 1901.

Anyone else noticing spurious bogus box scores since the patch? Before the patch, I always had the same number of box scores and game logs as games played. Since the patch I am getting 'extra' box scores and game logs. ???

Starting a new season. No games played yet. But I see a box score in the box score folder. A Strange One!



Same date as opening day. I check pitchers and their career records do not match record in the box score.

Both teams' records are 0-0 as no games have been played yet. No game log was generated for this 'game'. The previous season I have 3 'extra' box score files and 3 'extra' game logs.

UPDATE: Previous season's extra box scores and score logs come from my minor league - for some reason, out of the whole season, the game decided to write 3 box scores and 3 game logs????'

UPDATE 2: Figured out minor league box scores - same day as Major Leagues (I play different than most - Friday, Saturday and Sunday for ML - i.e. college series) Monday and Tuesday for Minors (JV) - when rain moved ML to Mondays both ML and JV Boxscores are written..

Still have no idea where the box score pictured came from. Note no Won-Loss record in Line Score....

I'm now using Steam and I kind of like it the way it is, the standalone players are beta testing the new patch before Steam gets it.

I still can't figure out why they don't release a new public patch as "beta" for a few weeks before making it official. Quick small updates can be made to the beta patches.

Force start no longer works at the minor league levels... Please tell me this will make the next patch.

EDIT: The problem only appears when force starting hitters. Pitchers is still fine.

really? I have always thought it was the opposite. So as a commish in an online league, should I always wait for the other members to patch before I do?

Update - If I choose other league and then go back to this league Cap Anson's numbers appear fine. No one else is set to 0....

Update 2: in other league, 2 players were all 0s....
