ukhotstove said what i was trying to imply to about tweeting athletes.

Has anyone tried to contact whatifsports.com ? its a cool website that basically is this game. Pretty sure a lot of peeps who go there would love to hear they can re-create history on their own.

Also craigslist has a discussion section about video games. It's another free option i thought of that could garner a few hits with no cost.

operation sports either as a paid ad or having a few guys just post on their forum talking about it nonchalantly will get some people interested. Also might want to ask gamefaqs.com about updating their computer games list . When i first hear of OOTP i check gamefaqs and Operationsports first to see what people there were saying about it.

Hello Brad,

pastapadre.com is a sports site dedicated to sports gaming and they have a podcast and a devoted fanbase. I've mentioned OOTP to him before to try and get more exposure, and he's been open to the idea, but if someone from the company got in contact with him he might be more receptive about promoting it. I actually think I remember him bringing it up recently in an article, but a feature would be great for OOTP since it's a site devoted to sports gaming.

It was yours and Brad's post that got me thinking about what I posted

what happened to the gaming being available via Steam?
now i know people tend to hate on Steam but that was how i found the game back in OOTP 9 and I've pre-ordered ever since and will consider OOTP before any baseball sim for the rest of my life now so any and all outlets to sell the game should get looked at, Impulse to and any other ones out there. The more first time buyers the better
Plus the conversion to 3D next year will be a great help to the sales before any or changes IMHO nothing sells like pretty graphics editing playoffs and league associations while would add great immersion to the game wouldn't be the first thing looked at.
these ideas as well as promoting the main differences in the game between it's competitors would help as well
my 2 cents

Having worked with other game company's a bit, they don't want a lot of indie dev's unless they are super willing to give huge discounts whenever they want them to. 33% and up. Don't know if that situation happened here or not but in my experience, it has happened to other indie devs.

I've brought it up before, but you might want to try and put OOTP in the Ubuntu Software Center. Granted, Linux is probably a small piece of the pie, but it may wind up being worth it to put the game in front of users of the largest Linux distribution.

I've been trying to get OOTP on XFire for years (see thread here Xfire Forums)

I mostly like XFire for recording hours played. OOTP would easily be in the hundreds. Thats a feature I would love added ala Football Manager's addictiveness rating and hours played numbers.

Anyways sign up to Xfire forums and promote the game there. They have tens of thousands of users and you would be advertising the game just by playing should it get supported.

You didn't mention he hit for the cycle...

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.
