Endless inquiries, but I'm not ruling out the idea that it can be simplified. Practical solutions are available, I'm certain, but one certainly seems to be the idea to make everything available in a universal interface with options to go anywhere, anytime; click any function on/off after exposure to its merit in your environment, and maintain the ability to customize the inner function rather than the overall integration. It's been suggested that browser-orientations may not be the best model, and I tend to agree, but as interface layouts go, there's something to be said, say for instance, having a IE8 oriented hidden, but exposable left or right hand menu with literally everything in it. While IE8 contains tabs in sequence labeled Favorites, Feeds, and History, we might be able to offer arbitrary overall catch-alls, or even be able to customize those housing tabs so the user could simply collect and modify his own collections (read that Add to Favorites, or Add to Financials...). It'd amount to a concise & self-contained super-charged bookmark with global game reach. Brainstorming, take it FWIW. Good discussion guys, keep it rolling.

If Markus were to never risk taking out something that certain OOTP players use, we'd end up with pretty much the same game every year with only a couple tweaks here and there. I want the game to move forward, and without adding 3D animation for the games (which we all understand is not ever likely to happen in OOTP), moving to an interface that wasn't so daunting to learn and navigate for newcomers is about the biggest way that OOTP can improve. Besides, I'd rather Markus give support to those of us that are on the forum promoting features and ideas we love, instead of trying to guess what things people like. OOTP Developments is very open to its users suggestions and criticisms, and there is certainly no reason why people can't come here and say what it is they like about the game and what they think would make their experience better. |

After reading some of the post's i started using bookmarks for the first time, and i found it very usefull alot lest clicking. So i agree that the poll should be rigged where you can vote for all, if you use them. That would be a fair way to do it. Just a thought...

I have two buttons on my mouse that go forward and back on webpages and would love to see that in OOTP.

I don't use the forward/back buttons unless I have to. The majority of the time, I use either the right mouse click or the backspace button to go back a page. I wish those worked all the time so I never had to look for the buttons.
Mapping frequently used pages to function keys wasn't something I used until recently, but it's fairly neat...when I remember that I mapped them. I just wish that you could choose which page to map to a specific key. As it is, you're stuck with the order you bookmark them and have to rearrange things if you don't like it. (Minor annoyances add up.)

I voted the "Icons at the bottom" but if I'd seen multiple choices were available I would have included "bookmarks". I also use extensively (almost as much as the bottom icons) the right click to both go back a screen and to open up different player screens. Whatever you do please leave it in the game. |

I used the bookmarks yesterday! Created a league where some friends were created as studly players in the league, and I bookmarked their profile pages for easy access.
