My favorite name in my current solo league is:

SP Ryan Nolan - a lefthanded pitcher with great control.

I thought it was funny because he is like the total opposite of Nolan Ryan.

In my online league, I have a pitcher on my single A team named Hilarius Sironen.

Now that's a funny name.

Steve,

What do you think of this. The ability to have a FULL name radomly show up in the game. Meaning First and Last name as a set. Like say maybe STEVE BATTISTS, or ELTON JOHN or DEAN MARTIN. You could add a bunch of your friends and wait for them to show up. Just a thought.

You know I gave him the nickname "The Master".

Glad he wasnt a pitcher. I'd be scared to think of what he uses to doctor the ball with.

Kung Fu says hi.

With no stolen base attempts, he's clearly not "fast as lightning"...but certainly, that .378 average is "a little bit frightening"...!

In one of my leagues, there's a starting pitcher named Carlos de Los Angeles. He was born in Shasta Lake, California. I'm changing his birthplace to LA, of course.

I wonder if anyone has ever had their own name pop up as a fictional player?

That's not possible with me unless I add my name to the DB, but I'd be curious to find this out too.

Pretty weird.

Never my own, but a good friend of mine had my (very rare) last name show up once.

I also had a Marc Duffy, an Australian catcher who won best hitter one year.

Yes, I found my name in an MLB league I was playing.

I retired myself the instant I went to his player page. He was playing for Scranton, and that's just one step down from playing for somebody he shouldn't be playing for... Just a shame "coming to his senses" isn't in the injury log as a CEI...
