I'm near Detroit. Its been damp and slightly drizzling off and on for days now. Should I go to a baseball field and rub a towel in the dirt (to similate the rosin bag on the mound)...blow on my hand so condensation forms, and then grip the dirty towel a few times and take a picture to see what it looks like? (Also, I could wipe my face too, to see if my face turns orangish like Kenny's!)<br>

So, they doctored the photos?

No, they used the power of persuasion to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

As long as you don't get arrested for sneaking in, on an off day.

We'll be waiting...if you need bail money, we can ask Markus for it.

Appartently he didn't wash it off with soap and water. He used a towel to wipe it off.

They didn't persuade my opinion. I used my vision and made my own conclusion.

I've read both that he wiped it off and that he washed his hands. Who is telling the truth?

Dude, its obvious that what's on his hand is pine tar............we've all seen it, used, been around it. Its not dirt and saying that it is is basically silly.

Its the same freaking color and consistency on the SAME place on his hand every time its shown.

He stated last night that he washed it off. Pine tar doesnt wash off easily, leaving a dried stain.

I have had dirt stains that look like that. So it is OBVIOUS to you. Not to me, not to the umps, not to baseball officials, and believe it or not they seem to be the only ones that count.

jax, you're being idiotic about this now. Look at the photos brother. How can this occur in so many instances on the same place on his hand.

Now I'm not saying it had an affect last night, but if he's used it all year long (or before), it needs to be addressed.

Ok, once and for all................
explain how it happens more than twice in the same spot on his hand and looks the same every time.

Last night, I wasnt sure, but now we have photos from other points in the season.

Again, they don't want to tarnish the game of baseball. I don't blame them. I can almost guarantee you that the next game he pitches, he will be sans any palm stains.

Had La Russa not mentioned anything until the ninth inning, there would have been a bigger stink made about it.

People will try to put a spin on it, but nothing like the spin Rogers gets on the ball from the pinetar grip!

While you're at it, make sure to only get it on the meaty part of your thumb.

i always used to get this wierd dirt stain on the right elbow of my long sleeved work shirts, but i could never figure out where it came from. one day im leaving work and notice its exactly at the point where my elbow hits the door when i push it open with my forearm. lo and behold, theres a greasy waxy build-up on the door where the janitorial crew makes them sparkle, but doesnt finish the job. needless to say, they clean it better now.

*shrug*

Maybe Rogers should send his palm to the janitorial crew?
