should the "Trade with other Major Leagues" option be enabled, for the cuban and nippon league?
how is it in real life?

Guys

Just wanted to thank you for such wonderful work!

Curious, were the rosters for MLB from a 6.5 roster set? (sorry if its been asked)

I would imagine the answer for Cuba is no, and in real life trades with Japan are rare. usually just selling of player contracts.

First all suggestions are being taken with the upmost importace, since we are only players like you, we too want the most enjoyable game, and as far as the trade with other leagues, we left this option on because there really is no other way to get the players to leave their league, and since most will be money for player, figured it would work, but we'll see

Where do I need to save this template so I can look at what logos you are missing?

Just a couple of comments. I am currently playing in the Ven Summer League and notice that team batting averages are very low (less than .200 in many cases) as well as team ERAs (lower than 2.00). MLEs were set to .850.

I also notice that the MLB players are also showing weak offense. I am assuming that these rosters were imported from 6.5. MLB now appears as a pitcher dominated league. I also noticed at the MLB level almost no one walks.

Just curious, but could the issues with the MLB rosters create a picher dominated league? Could this be resolved by adjusting the league totals?

if you've created any templates yet, there's going to be a world_templates folder... if this is your first? then you will have to manually create the folder

I discussed this with Ozzie on aim, and he said he hasn't actually started any leagues yet off this template. and from what I can tell from downloading Rico's work there's no set mlb roster set pre installed in the file. so i would need more details to give to him to get you an answer, but he did say the modifers were set pretty low for the Ven. and Dom. summer leagues since few of the guys from there ever make it

When I started a league, the MLB was filled up with the proper names on the proper team. I think if you save a template and have a roster set loaded, it stays with the template.

I am going to experiment with seeing if I can fictionalize the players at the start of the league and see if that solves the problem but Im wondering if there was a bad 6.51 conversion whether this would negatively impact lower leagues as well.

(also, even if players in lower leagues were bad, i would imagine the pithcers and hitters would be roughly equally bad so you would still epxect to see a balance between pitching and hitting).

It might be safer to begin a scrap league and save it as a template, then let the program create the folder for you if this is the case.

All right rico...I've checked out your template. How many logos are you requesting here? When you asked if I could make make the logos that you are missing....you really failed to mention that you are requesting about.....what....300+ logos.

Here's the 8 logos for Division 1, of the 32 Divisions....for just the NCAA part of your World Template. Really dude....do you think this might have been a tad bit on the outrageous side, for a request? What I found a tad funny was that....when I finally get to Division 32....that division has 50 teams in it.

I had some of the logos already, I was getting the list together and will have it for you later on, I didn't want you to think that I needed all the logos, i may have phrased the question wrong.

I'm not sure an NCAA league would work because of the draft. Even if you get to the point where you can guarantee every player leaving the league in 4 years or less, they'll simply go into the free agent pool rather than being drafted.

I would think the key here is to not ask anyone person to do all the logos. if there were more than just 1 person doing them they wouldn't be as much of a problem I wouldn't think

the great thing about this being a template is if you don't like it? you don't have to use it. I personally think while it can't be 100% accurate, it's going to be alot of fun

Very true, but if you set free agent years to 3 or 4- and allow them to leave the league- the better players may sign on in other leagues if the NCAA salary structure is set ridiculously low....But you are correct- it's still not perfect.

I wonder if this idea is one Markus would consider- because adding college baseball as an amateur draft type feeder is an AWESOME idea.....At least I think it is.

I agree 100% and ozzie emailed me a new version to check for mistakes as well as to Rico and contracts are now set at 1200 for all NCAA players and 4 Yr FA
