they listen to the community, fix the problem and release a patch asap. You should take some time after this is all over and CHeck out the customer service provided over Grey Dog Software. You could learn alot from them Marc
Example. Broken multiplayer in Call of Duty 2 on the 360 which was a launch game in November. Infinity Ward didn't release any information except that 'they were working on it' and finally released a multiplayer patch in JANUARY. Yet people continue to spend $60 on a game. You are right. Companies release patches ASAP, but unless a patch is ready or as complete as they would like it, the consumers have to wait. That's how the world turns.

It's not making an issue, it's communcation to the community.

I visit Grey Dog regularly and they offer a great service. I also happen to think SI offer a great service across three great titles too. When you buy one of our games you get full after sales support in both forums and patches and feedback. You seem to suggest otherwise

Have you actually played the game? Have you played 6.5, 6.1, 5, 4, 3? Do you know the game of baseball at all?????

I think most of us here would answer yes. And I think most of us here would disagree with you statement that it does work as advertised...............

I'm not here to be disappointed either.
All I can do is keep offering those who put their faith and money behind OOTPB2006 discounts when it comes to preordering future versions. If people choose not to take us up then I'll be dissapointed but I'll understand. Such discounts are the least we can do to say thankyou to a great community

So that's why when there was still issues with EHM it was announced there would no longer be patches because it would affect the production of the next version? if that's your idea of service, you might as well get used to the complaining

Well I am now convinced OOTP 2006 is a big BUST, just because they are now offering a discount??? Something is wrong here and I feel like I got ganged raped. So much is wrong with this game. Online leagues will NEVER be the same and right now I don't see any? Why because people don't want a 100 MB file. OOTP rest in peace

Which is why patch2 has a fantastic new dialog for online commisioners to tailor the amount of data they want to upload.

Don't read into discounting as a bad thing, it's a way to drive more customers to the game. it's probably the exact reason others in the genre are offering substantial discounts.

I'm sorry but I just can't agree with you.

We have a bug tracker that we load with data from the forums. I took a look and cannot find anything in technical support that you have logged. What support issues do you have?

You are good, I will give you that. The discount is a way to steal more money from the American people and all around the world. I hope people are not buying into this. We got screwed plain and simple. Just admit, come on out and say it was a BIG mistake to release this product. Everyone knows it and you do as well. So stop trying giving us this sales pitch of yours.

anytime a software company says that they can't patch software that has already been released because it's more important to work on the next version so they can get another 35 dollars out their customers does not and will not ever understand good customer service

ha! what's the odds of me and JF fighting the same side of an arguement LOL

But I am guessing still no playing out of games and uploading results

This kind of kills my entire League, and until the feature is included we can't upgrade to ootp2006...

So why can't we see this so called bug tracker online then and that it gives us a real time status on where you are with the bugs? Don't say you can't do it, cause I know it can be done

What company in their right mind gives open access to a bug database? Show me one.
