The first picture posted as Ray Brown in Vancouver uniform is actually Bob Brown who never played in the majors. Bio below.

The second picture posted as Ray Brown in Sacramento uniform is actually Fred Brown who debuted in 1901.

Ray Brown remains outstanding.

Birth Place: Scranton, Pennsylvania Birth Date: July 5, 1876 – June 23, 1962 Inducted: 1966 Builder, Baseball Personal History: Known as Vancouver’s “Mr. Baseball”, Bob’s contribution to the sport span sixty years in the {Pacific Northwest. He was a successful athlete at Notre Dame University in the 1890’s, and a pro ball player from 1900 to 1909 in Montana, Oregon, and Washington (where he led the Spokane Indians to the P.C.L. pennant win in 1908). He became the owner manager of the Vancouver Beavers who after several metamorphoses over the years, have become the successful Vancouver Canadians. Brown was also responsible for the first night games played under lights in Canada. Brown was the first to be inducted into the B.C. Baseball Hall of Fame. Career Highlights: -Moved to Vancouver in 1910 and became the owner/playing manager of the Vancouver Beavers (who aptured a pennant in Bob’s second season as owner, 1911). -Opened Vancouver’s athletic Park, after physically clearing the site himself (this stadium burnt down twice over the years, in 1927 and 1940

The Ray Brown in the Hall Of Fame is in the Negro League section. Prior to Jackie Robinson in 1947 the only negroes allowed to appear in the Major Leagues were the Walker brothers , Moses (Fleet) and Welday in the 1880's.

That is a different Ray Brown.
