England - in theory - are simply superior all round. One of the Ecuador strikers is at an English club, but has rarely played because he's not top class. Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard, Cole, Rooney - in theory, should be a match for the attack/midfield of most teams in the entire World Cup, let alone Ecuador. So far, they're not playing well as a unit, but if they do then this game should be relatively stress free for an England fan.

Btw, the current results for that poll are:
48% Italy 1-1 USA, 27% England 2-2 Sweden, 10% Australia 3-1 Japan, 10% Germany 4-2 Costa Rica, and 5% (unsurprisingly) Mexico 3-1 Iran.

When has a football gameinvolving England ever been stress free for an England fan?

England will win because Ecuador only win games at about 30,000 feet in Quito. Stuttgart is only 100 feet above sea level.

The betting market has re-adjusted overnight, with Argentina drifting after their dodgy display back out to almost 5/1.

Ecuadors strikers were brilliant against Poland and CR but sat out against germany...if England adopts your thinking they could be in for a similiar fate as Argentina.

On the contrary, because my thinking is that England have to go out and play well and at a good tempo, not be complacent.
